  • The Vatican is preparing for the Pope’s resignation in February 2019….

The Vatican is under profound scrutiny and criticism after Monday’s shock announcement that they requested the U.S. Catholic Bishops to delay voting on new standards for survivors of sɛҳuąƖ abuse and bishop accountability. The US Bishops, who were attending the fall meeting of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, were indeed surprised by the decision, and expressed a mixture of disappointment, acceptance, and frustration about the news. Angry victims and activists from BishopAccountability.org, which compiles data on clergy abuse in the church, were present in Baltimore outside the hotel where the Conference of US Catholic Bishops took place, and became increasingly frustrated, some shouting in despair that this was “totally unacceptable!!”
Meanwhile, on Monday morning, two survivors of clerical sɛҳuąƖ abuse spoke to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops about their own personal experiences and their hopes for the future of the Church.  One survivor, Luis Torres, even asked the US bishops in a touching testimony, to make changes to ecclesial policies and culture that might ensure that sɛҳuąƖ abuse or coercion by anyone in the Church, including bishops, is put to an end. “I ask,”he pled, “that you inspire me and our community to faith and hope through your courage and your action, which is needed right now. Not in three months. Not in six months. Yesterday.”
Yes, the victim said “yesterday”, not today, showing profound frustration, but Pope Francis doesn’t care about the victims of pedophilia, or the future of the Church in the United States, he really only cares about his own future. In September 2018, Pope Francis convened all the Episcopal Conferences worldwide for a general meeting to take place in Rome in February 2019, to discuss the prevention of abuse of minors and vulnerable adults. It seems the Argentinian Pope wants to impose his own view before leaving office, not tolerating any further interference from the US Catholic Bishops.

  • Is it credible to believe Francis will actually resign in February 2019?

I would like it to happen, but I'm not so sure. It's too good to be true.

  • Where does this say the Vatican is preparing for his resignation in Feb 2019?
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

Go to the very last sentence of the second paragraph  "  It seems the Argentinian Pope wants to impose his own view before leaving office, not tolerating any further interference from the US Catholic Bishops."
What does "before leaving Office" mean?   Francis has the Office of the Papacy.

  • Back in 2014, Francis said that he would most likely die in office if he did not retire beforehand. And he thought that he only had two years left.

How long dear Lord. Help us and save us, for we perish.
    Lord have mercy.

  • I guess I don't think that necessarily implies imminent resignation.

Indeed.  People are just seeing what they want to see.

  • Barring the act of God -- although all things would technically be an "act of God", for all things happen in God's Providence -- barring an act of God, like the Pope dying suddenly, with modern medical technology, he could very well remain Pope, for all intents and purposes, indefinitely. He could be Pope into his 90s if he so wishes.

Furthermore: if the Pope were to die suddenly, or resign, it's not as though things would be better. There would be a chance, however small, a holy Pope could be elected (although I don't know of any holy Cardinals), but most likely another person, maybe even a young progressivist, will be elected.

Unfortunately, barring God's intervention, we could put up with this Vatican II regime for a generation or more.

  • I also see nothing about the Pope resigning next year. The problem is that anyone can buy a domain name, start writing and give the illusion that they're a "journalist". Leo Zagami, the pseudo-journalist, had another article in a similar vein on his website. In August. Four months later, has anything happened? At all?

Then according to one of the , he predicted on Alex Jones' that it would be in 2016... along with his blasphemy declaring himself the Messiah.

He appears to be in the same category of lunatic as the elderly Pentecostals who infest our airwaves with a new date for the new private jet, I mean, "Rapture" every three weeks. Every so often, they pick a date and scramble around quotes giving the illusion that they know what they're doing -- and the date passes with no hurrah.

I'd give him no mind and pay attention to verified sources, especially around February of 2019, which is three and a half months away.

  • The average age a male born on December 17, 1936, can expect to live to is 89.6 years. (That is another 7.6 years)

Bergoglio isn't going anywhere. He has got a church to destroy first.

  • Where are you getting your figures.  Sounds like you might have read it in the stars.
The Average life expectancy for males born in Argentina is 72.5 years.

  • And also, there needs to be bonafide verifiable proof that this is happening soon.

  • I truly hope and pray this is just rumor being passed between the elder out of touch Catholics.  The Holy Father has in my opinion brought great changes to the church that are overdue.  Support and faithful followers is what he needs in order to support the church built upon Peter The Rock.  If one finds in their heart the inability to support the Pope, The Baptist are seeking new members.
    May God Bless
