  • Well it seems one of our dear Fathers is a mighty bit fed-up and upset. He gave his usual spiel with announcements, prayer intentions, the Mass Intention, a short blip about the Gospel, another bit about the Holy Family, etc., and then he got quiet. REALLY QUIET. His next words were along the lines of, "It seems we are having some problems with a few things, and I need to be sure they are cleared up." "It is NOT the job of the faithful to come and tell me what I need to do, when I need to do it, or what I am not doing right. And of all things at Christmas Mass."

He went on about 5-10 minutes on this with a few things that had happened, and then he let it go. "HOLD YOUR TONGUES! HOLD YOUR TONGUES!"

    Yikes.

Y'all know how I feel about Priest-bashing, and people over-stepping their authority, and such, so I was actually happy to hear a good and Holy Priest just lay it on the line. I have no idea who had it coming, but he made sure we all heard his message.

Thank-you, Lord. Just posting here because I felt inspired to do so, Anne.

  • Your right. If a muslim or Jєω, etc is "priest bashing".  But your wrong if you think it's normal to listen to sermons that turn Catholics into pacifists by twisting obedience, charity, etc. to suit the enemy's terms for survival and not complain and warn about it.
