Now the SSPX leadership wants their faithful to pray for Bob's anti-Catholic intentions?

The SSPX is demonstrating what we've suspected for years, that they are the "controlled opposition" to true Catholic tradition.

I make some distinctions regarding formal and material, etc. ... but, yeah, it's retarded, but, sadly, it's more than that.  That's not Catholic and many modern (dogmatic) R&R are little more than thinly-veiled Old Catholics or else at the very least slouching dramatically toward Old Catholicism.

It is not retarded, as they have very clearly already explained.   

See, with the sedes, like pretty much everything faith related, it is *all* about their predetermined judgement that the pope is not the pope. Which is to say that to the sedes, all who disagree with them are to at least some degree, retarded, or Lad's fav, they're Old Catholics.  
 
Whereas with the SSPX, it has nothing whatsoever to do with judging the status of him who sits in the Chair. Why? Because they are going about the whole thing as if the man sitting in the Chair is without a shred of doubt whatsoever, the pope. It's all very clearly explained in the link.

I am not saying that the SSPX does not have major issues, I mean heck, every single solitary trad group out there *bar none*  has something(s) screwed up - and like every other trad group out there, use them for the Mass and the sacraments to save your soul.

They accept a papacy that is clearly and unequivocally promoting doctrines that are heretical and injurious to one's soul. 
Their leader, Bp Fellay, signed a statement in behalf of the SSPX that it accepts ALL of VII. 
They have a schizophrenic policy of accepting novus ordo priests ordained in the new rite by bishops of doubtful validity. 
Bob Prevost has excommunicated them, which means if they die in that state they will be going directly to hell.
Yet, they claim to remain faithful to this man who is destroying every trace of traditional Catholicism. 

THAT IS RETARDED

I recommend Fr. Chezal's booklet "Contra Cekadam". I actually think for sedes it's necessary to maintain any shred of integrity, so comprehensive is his case. Afterwards read Fr. Cekada's response, which I found lacking to say the least. But to be knowledgeable about this issue, you really have to read these back-and-forths.
