  • Chabad picture of the day

    http://crownheights.info/picture-of-the-day/499531/picture-of-the-day-rivkah-would-not-bow/

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin paid a visit to Pope Francis in Rome, accompanied by his personal secretary Rivkah – an Orthodox-Jєωιѕн woman. When a person usually greets the pope, they shake his hand and bow down. But when Rivkah’s turn came to greet the pope, she explained to him that for religious reasons she could not shake his hand, nor could she bow down since he was wearing a cross. The pope then covered his cross with his hand, and bowed down to her!

  • This disgusts me.
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

  • It's not hard to know this Pope by his fruits.

A great Pope once said that he could not recognise the Talmidim because they would not recognise the Messiah.

Now we have a Pope who recognises the Talmidim while covering up the Messiah, as if he were ashamed of Him.

Pope Francis is a complete and utter disgrace of a Pope and needs our prayers - all of our prayers.

Our Lady, help our Pope and help the rest of us.

Surely we have reached an absolute low-point in history, second only to the Crucifixion.

  • I'm finding a report that is saying this report is not accurate.  Of course that report clarifies things all "according to a(n) (anonymous) source".

    http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/200442#.VfQ-a1Povm5

And we also have previous examples of Francis doing something similar:

The second source appears to be a PR piece to mitigate any bad reaction. The Chabad source could be lying to put the finger in the eye of Christians, they always publish photos of this or that world leader in a submissive pose to them. It is however a long established conciliar practice to hide the pectorals and cover or remove the Crucifix when Jєωs are entertained by them.

  • For liberals who laugh off Catholic concerns about this:

“Signs and Symbols Rule the world, not rules and law” – Confucius
    .........................

Before some audiences not even the possession of the exactest knowledge will make it easy for what we say to produce conviction. For argument based on knowledge implies instruction, and there are people whom one cannot instruct.  - Aristotle

  • This wouldn't be the first time a post-Vatican II pope showed public embarrassment for the Cross and Our Lord.

  • Why would the pope deign to a Jєω and deny Christ?

  • I'd love the cowardly down thumber to come out and explain to me the downthumbing to my face.  Until shown otherwise I'm going to have to assume it's a non-Catholic posing as a Catholic here.  No true Cathoic would downthumb any post in this thread that denounces Francis for his actions.

But the coward will probably only down thumb this post.

Let us not forget who the Talmidim are:

    the killers of God

    2Vermont:

You are correct - Pope Francis has done this before. Quite simply a disgrace to cover the Christ so as not to offend His killers.

I say it again, Pope Francis, you are a total disgrace. May God have mercy on you. Our Lady, pray for us and our Pope.
