  • What is it they say about Modernists: 'One day they are Catholic, the next Modernists.'

I was brought up to be a Catholic one day and the next.

Today I cannot make head nor tail of Catholicism. When one experiences popes totally ignoring traditional tenets of the faith and implementing new doctrines and practices saying it is the work of the Holy Ghost, this leaves me wondering how could the Good Lord allow such confusion to come about in His Church.

Take for example who elects a pope in the first place, men with free will or is all 'arranged' by the Holy Ghost? The ramifications of the answer are profound, if only we knew the answer.

I watched the latest talk by John Vennari, and thank God for his courage:

and witnessed how a sucession of popes directly ignored the Church's teaching on the Mass, the most important aspect of Catholicism. I read where Francis claimed the Holy 'Spirit' was behind it all.

What I cannot understand is the fact that they seem oblivious to tradition, oblivious to the fact that Catholicism has ceased to have any importance in the lives of society (in Ireland now especially), oblivious to the destruction they have caused to the priesthood and the brides of Christ. Everywhere they go a hundred thousand people greet them, crying and weeping at the occasion. It is Pop star stuff, yet it gives the impression all are delighted to be Catholic.

I have therefore long decided to have nothing to do with Rome and live my faith as thought they are not there.
