  • I found certain poblems with a legality of Bishop Thuc´s consecrations. I asked few traditional Catholics I know, but no one can answer me properly this. Please tell me if or where I am wrong.

    -             He signed heretical Vatican II docuмents – didn´t he lost his office?
He had to know what he was signing; he had taken the Oath Against Modernism; he had then to recognize, for example, a heresy of the religious liberty in a Vatican II docuмent. He was a bishop (bishops have a Holy Spirit to distinguish, I think) and had three doctorates. Therefore a material heresy is not applicable for him; he had to know – if he didn’t, it was a voluntary ignorance.

    -   When he had realised the errors of Vatican II, he began to work with Archbishop Lefebvre. Why then, after the understanding, he left to the Newchurch? Why he joined with the Palmarian movement that considere Paul VI as a saint? Why he asked Paul VI for a pardon?

    -   He has proclaimed in 1982 the Declaration of the Vacancy of the Apostolic See, but never publicly abjured his public signing of Vatican II docuмents.

    -   Thuc has concelebrated on Maundy Thursday 1981 a Novus Ordo Mass, what he admitted to Bishop Gerard des Lauriers only several months after the fact and after his (des Lauriers) consecration (May 1981). His concelebrating of a New Mass was many years after Thuc had known it is evil, and he never publicly abjured this. Is not a performance of a non-catholic service imitating the true sacrifice of mass a heresy or even an apostasy?

    -   He was affiliated with the Newchurch in Toulon minimum throughout 1981, and he received faculties to confess in a Toulon cathedral from the diocesan conciliar Bishop. It is obvious that Thuc was not then with SSPX, but was a member of the Newchurch.

    -   Thuc has also consecrated in January 1976 five bishops for the Palmar de Troya movement. Paul VI excomunicated Thuc and later lifted this penalty (September 1976). There is a question: with what Church was Thuc affiliated in 1976-1978? Did he recognised Paul VI then? The Palmarian church had Paul VI as a saint. And 1979-1980? I do not know but in 1981 he was in the Newchurch and in 1976-1978 in all likelihood too.

    -   After the pardon from Paul VI Thuc almost immediately was consecrating bishops once again, this time the occultist Old Catholic Laborie in 1977 and d’Arnoux in 1978.

    -   Is it not a schismatic act to consecrate a non-Catholic? Thuc consecrated Old-Catholics.

    -   Is it not a schismatic act to consecrate against a will of a pope? Thuc consecrated against a will of his pope (Paul VI).

    -   The Newchurch came into existence on Vatican II, where nearly all bishops and priests defected to the new religion. Why this apostasy would not have applied to Bishop Thuc?

    -   Why did Thuc use (and some Catholics still use) the title Archbishop? The title was given to him by atipopes John XXIII and Paul VI.
