The priesthood doesn't need any miracles to confirm it.
Even though the priesthood typically--100% of the time, actually--has been confirmed by miracles throughout Scripture.
I swear. There's so many people who will say "I don't need miracles to affirm what I believe." Or, there's always this one: "It's a private revelation, and it means nothing to me."
I'd hazard to guess that's one of the reasons miracles don't happen anymore. People don't want them.
This comes from St John of the Cross.
My historical argument comes from The Old and New Testament.
The priesthood, thoughout the ages, has had miracles that confirm it.
I know you hate miracles, but they actually happened, and they continue to happen. And they do matter. God doesn't whisper to us, just for us to ignore Him. You can continue to do that--as will everyone else. But I, for one, will be
slow to dismiss what comes from Heaven.
