  • Do the CMRI use the 1962 Missal or just the Pius XII (1955) Holy Week Rites?
They use the 1955 Missal. They observe everything from Pius XII.
I recant many opinions on the crisis in the Church and moral theology that I have espoused on here from at least 2019-2021 don't take my postings from that time as well as 2022 possibly too seriously.

    .

Yes. I don't think they consider John 23rd to have been a valid pope.

I do love the Redemptorists.  Two Blessed John Neumann relics have found me.
1 Corinthians: Chapter 13 "4 Charity is patient, is kind: charity envieth not, dealeth not perversely; is not puffed up; 5 Is not ambitious, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh no evil;"

The CMRI uses the last Missal promulgated by a true Pope.  They use the 1955 Holy Week Rites.  They do not use the 1962 Missal.

  • While the MHT (under Bishop Sanborn) is indeed the only established seminary to offer the old Holy Week, it seems to strike out on several other issues that you mentioned: they condemn the attendance at "una cuм" Masses (or even mere confession to a priest belonging to such a group like sspx even if the priest is secretly non-una-cuм) as a mortal sin.  They also are quite polemical regarding Holy Week, the Feast of St Joseph the Worker, and the cassiciacuм theory.  The CMRI does not take hardline stances on those issues but indeed uses the reformed Holy Week promulgated by Pope Pius XII.

  • I also think that Bishop Pivarunas is a very temperate and humble man.  I was honored to be confirmed by him in 2021.
I second this! I was confirmed by him in 2022 and he is a very down-to-earth man. After Mass at the reception lunch, he stayed and made his way around the entire hall to talk to every family in attendance (around 100 people in attendance if I had to guess). He shared some humorous stories from the past, and I discovered that we had another thing in common: he and I both drive manual cars.
