But I'd still do it as instructed and not try to pussy foot around.

Better to wear the scapular than not wear it (for all the right and honest reasons).

Pretty hard to take anything seriously from the Daily Catholic site.

1.  The editor/owner of the website, for the longest time, promoted Medjugorje as a genuine apparition.  No educated Catholic I know fell for that load of old Yugoslavian tosh.

2.  It is a sedevacantist site.  More reasonable than believing in Medjugorje, but something of a flip flop to go from Medjugorjyism to SV'ism.

3.  The website is designed by someone on some sort of HTML acid trip, which either means they are deliberately perverse or cannot be bothered (too lazy or too stupid) to redesign the website with more up-to-date web tools, most of which are free.

That is an incredibly strange post.  He purposely keeps old articles up so as not to be accused of purging his site as the SSPX site does.  It shows growth in spirituality.  Why don't you write Mike directly and tell him what you think.  He was a seminarian and probably has more knowledge about the faith in his pinky than you will ever obtain.

I gave up TV in April of 2008 so I could be more attached to God through detachment from worldly things.  Additionally I did not want TV in a house where children who God put in my hands to lead to salvation were growing up.  Parents will have to answer to God for allowing the souls of their children to be warped by TV.  The only harmless TV that I am aware of is one that is in the dumpster.  If the show doesn’t get you the commercials will.  That being said, I still remember a Simpson’s episode where Homer says “Everyone is stupid but me.”  In the show he was about the stupidest man on the planet.  Is it really necessary for us to prove to the world how stupid we are by constantly entering into petty debates on blogs or forums and showing others how much we disapprove of others in a very public way by anonymously “thumbing them down” or giving them a “dislike” without giving an explanation for our disapproval?  How Catholic is that?  Going on a forum and preaching with absolute assurance that no one can possibly be saved unless they are baptized with water is akin to saying “Everyone is stupid but me.”  The statement itself manifests your own lack of intelligence.  It is far more profitable to work on your holiness than to gain all the knowledge in the world and use it to your detriment by preaching error which you are convinced is true.  Publicly disparaging others isn’t the brightest way to advance in spirituality either.  Information is a very dangerous thing when not properly understood, especially when it pertains to salvation issues.  It is even more dangerous when erroneous understandings of truth are preached publicly as is constantly done on blogs and forums.  There are far better places to seek and find Truth than on forums where erroneous opinions are a dime a dozen.

Your injurious babbling can cause damage to the brain.  I'm glad you don't have a website.  

One day while I was minding my own business waiting for my husband to finish his exercise at our local gym.   I didn't realize but my scapular has hanging out in view, and a couple of nice looking men came over and said,
"do you think that article will save you"?

I looked down to see my scapular, and responded to him, "no not the article but the act of obedience to her, hopefully will".  

That's a much more eloquent response than I would have given in that situation, I'll try to remember that phrase in case I'm asked about the scapular.
Someone once asked me if the scapular was a "Catholic rabbits foot" or some type of good luck charm. I told him it was a symbolic clerical robe and acted as a reminder to pray and read Scripture every day.

Our Lady was holding the Brown Scapular at her apparition at Fatima, and there are many miracles attributed to the Scapular.  There can be no doubt about the Scapular and the promises attached to it.

There is no guarantee that those who wear the Scapular unworthily will die wearing it.  God is not mocked.

Correct.  God judges what is inside.  One can wear a miter and a crucifix the size of their body and go to Hell.
