The ONLY good, perfect solution is for the Pope and hierarchy to return to the Catholic Faith, and begin defending/teaching only the Catholic Faith, with no errors or heresies.
All Catholics would be obligated to work under this hierarchy, under pain of excommunication and damnation.

You would have TRUTH and AUTHORITY together as one.

THAT is the only ideal "position" or "group" -- an end to the Crisis in the Church.

Too bad we can't just make that happen, eh?

You might feel like this is a very glib post, rather obvious, but I think at least a few people on CathInfo could learn from it. You know, those who are a bit too "rah rah my group" as they take refuge in Traditional Catholic lifeboats to preserve their Faith.

Arguing about which Trad group is the "only option" is kind of like arguing about which foods, added to an outdoor compost pile, could be safely extracted and eaten 7 days later. WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BE DIGGING THROUGH THE GARBAGE FOR FOOD. Ideally we'd be eating fresh food that hasn't been thrown away!

Maybe you're right that an old crust of bread is safer to eat than wilted lettuce, but come on! They're both garbage in the scheme of things. BOTH FAR FROM IDEAL. Let's not lose sight of that.

It is good that you recognized that the end of Crisis can only start by the return of a orthodox  pope. It is lack of shepherd that is at the heart of this crisis. However, this holy pope will need to condemn all of the councilor popes especially PaulVI and JPII, along with Vatican2, and NOM. These errors will continue until the architects of the crisis and their agenda are officially condemned by this legitimate pope. The last 60 years cannot just be ignored and swept under the rug, or even worse, minimized. Make it de fide and sort the wheat from the chafe.

Pray for a holy pope. Do penance for a holy pope.

  • Completely agree with the OP.
Jesus Christ wants His Church to be One, not several.

There is one true faith, not several -- or, we are Protestants who claim their local church has autonomous authority.  That does not mean that we agree to join NewChurch, the Conciliar Church, because that is an invention lacking authenticity -- a church which broke with a unified past and which mimics Protestant churches in its eccentric practices of local parishes, including idiosyncratic "additions" even to the "approved" N.O.M.

Also, the heads of the trad apostolates, who just met together and signed a letter,
    https://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2021/09/communique-of-superiors-general-of.html

do not compete with each other, unlike many laymen who claim otherwise.  Their superiors recognized long ago that they are unified in their resistance to modernism and their affirmation of tradition.

We need one strong true Pope who will winnow the chaff.  Priests and laity who oppose a single authority will be those who always opposed religious authority.  If their parishes finally become Catholicized, and they don't like that, they will simply leave and conform more authentically to the lukewarm Protestantism they have been latently practicing and believing already.
