If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?

  • The "mercy" of Antichrist maybe.

To play Devil's advocate, the man did aggressively approach the altar and head straight for the "priest." So, it's not like he was completely innocent. I would probably move to help subdue someone if they headed straight for Father in my parish. That said, this "priest" was obviously in the wrong here.

Attached is a Chiesa Viva pamphlet I came across the other night talking about an icon of "mercy" in the ʝʊdɛօ-Catholic Anti-church, as I see it mildly relevant to this "church of mercy."
"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]

  • What kind of priest stops in the middle of Mass like this.   You can tell by the way people walk all over the sanctuary they don't believe anything sacred is going on there.
Our Lady of La Salette, pray for us!

Yep. No altar rails, so no sanctuary, no Crucifix, etc ...
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

It's amazing how we have come from the Israelites tying a rope around the waist of their priests who offered incense within the Holy of Holies out of fear that the Lord may strike them dead, to "priests" and laity trampling all over the supposed sanctuary and committing apparent sacrilege in an effort to enforce a mandate of the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr.

    Crazy times.
