With the Feast of the Holy Trinity this weekend, I got to thinking how significant the number three is...not only for the Church, but in the world as well. We live with threes. Yesterday, today, tomorrow. Past, present, future. Mom, Dad, Child. Hell, Purgatory, Heaven. Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious. Yes, no, maybe. Probable, possible, definite. Conservative, moderate, liberal. Faith, Hope, Charity and so on. During this time I was recalling with relief (relief that I was no longer in the new church) the days of my conservative Catholicism in the new church remembering how I was daily disturbed about so many things in the conciliar church that was spawned after and from Vatican II. Primarily the liturgy made my skin crawl as I attended daily "mess" and I started to think of the various responses to the current scandal of the new church.

For example – the problem with the “pope”.

Various “conservative” and traditional periodicals would react to the problem with the pope (his ambiguity, error, scandalous and heretical acts, even heresy and validity) or the pink elephant in the room in varying ways. From what I have read in Catholic Dogma, a Heretical Pope is a dead pope for all practicality. So how would good Catholics respond to such a crisis? Where would they lay the blame? There seemed to be, you got it, three types of responses from Catholics or would-be Catholics to the current crisis in the Church and the role or lack thereof the “pope” plays in this crisis. They are as follows:

    1. Weekend at Bernie's!

I looked at periodicals like the Wanderer who did not refrain from criticizing bishops but never criticized the pope. So the response to the “crisis” or more aptly apostasy from the Wanderer type people was to hold hands with the dead man. That is they would raise the flag of their salvation on and pledge their allegiance to the dead man holding his hand as if all was well at the top of this new façade that calls itself the 'Catholic' Church. These are the "non-Catholic Catholics" at heart type of people who, were they not so willfully blind, would become truly Catholic in a flash. But either because of their ostrich mentality or because of their thinking that not knowing the truth won't hurt them (which it definitely will), they prop up the dead man and drag him through the streets in papalotry fashion, while all around them everything is imploding. Because those propping up a dead man are living in the twilight zone, they don't see the fact that the corpse, besides being dead, is rotting away and contaminating everything it touches.

    2. Rip Van Winkle

This basically is: the dead man is asleep, not dead. Periodicals like the Remnant, Catholic Family News and the Angelus were candid enough to admit that the problems in the new order church started at the top but preferred, rather, insisted that the dead man was not dead but rather asleep. So they too pledged their allegiance to the dead man though they seemed aware that at the very least the dead man was not awake. So instead of holding his hand and skipping through the meadows as if all was well they would try to shake the corpse awake with everything but admitting that he had indeed apostasized from the true Faith. Can't dare call him a heretic. Only another pope or council can do that. These are legitimate Catholics who have not and or will not get to the root cause of the problem of apostasy within this new church that has usurped the premises and authority of the Catholic Church. They refuse to apply previous clear docuмents by Holy Mother Church such as cuм Ex Apostolatus Officio and Saint Robert Bellarmine's Sixth Opinion of a pope being a heretic in his De Romano Pontifice; nor can they justify the actions and words of the conciliar popes with the actions and words of the pre-conciliar Popes and Council of Trent who have, in effect, very clearly condemned as anathema sit the church of Vatican II.

    3. The Emperor has no clothes

Then there are the CMRI, Catholic Voice, Traditio, & SSPV and independent types who pay as much heed to the dead man as they would to any other heretic. In this group there are both those who are called sedevacantists and those who claim that they are not sedevacantists but admit that such an opinion is a legitimate possibility. They admit or claim that they lack the capacity and the education in canon law, philosophy and theology to come to a definitive conclusion on the issue of valid or invalid popes but carry on the best they can as all good Catholics did under the leadership of authentic pre-conciliar Popes. They point to the fact that having the opinion of sedevacantism does not affect faith and morals and, in truth, is in total alignment with the canonical thinking of the Church, for She does recognize that the Chair of Peter is empty after the death of a legitimate pope. There are two terms that mean the same thing: sedevacantism and interregnum. While several who are not willing to go as far as saying the Chair today is empty, they at least have the integrity to admit it is a possibility and therefore are classified in this third group for they are not in denial. Both of the types in this group, as I have stated, pay no heed to the dead man. These are the legitimate Catholics that are aware of the root cause of the current apostasy running amok. The buck stops at the top. It is as obvious as the nose on one's face that the emperor has no clothes. And some in this group come to a definitive conclusion of that actuality, while others claim to lack the capacity to discern the validity of the heretical claimant, but neither in this group are blind to the possibility of the sedevacantist claim as are those who would seem to be willfully blind – divide the traditionalists from within – type of Catholics spewing their venom anywhere it will be published and who would cast us outside of the Church for being open to such a possibility. Again, it is not doctrine, it is an opinion - one confirmed by Holy Mother the Church, and an opinion being studied moreso today than ever before by sincere Catholics because the evidence is fast becoming too overwhelming to ignore or rationalize.

As I mentioned I was recalling my days in the new church, or perhaps more accurately feeling so grateful that I no longer have to turn myself into a pretzel trying to reconcile new church teachings with True Church teachings such as it being okay to worship false gods with heretics, distribute Communion to heretics and my latest bugaboo before I converted to Catholicism: the “fact” that no one needs to convert to Catholicism in order to be saved and that “the Old Covenant (as the last two conciLIAR popes have boldly proclaimed) "has never been revoked”.

The following are brief illustrations on the ludicrousness of those who unfurl their banner and pledge their allegiance to the dead man.

Throughout the Old Testament in Scripture we have certain “types” that point to the reality that would be revealed in the New Testament. We had “types” of "baptism," types of "Eucharist," types or figures of the devil, types of Mary’s and most frequently types of the Messias in the various priests, prophets and kings. So too we had the Old Covenant which pointed to or foreshadowed the fulfillment of that Covenant which is the New Covenant.

Once the New Covenant came into effect the Old Covenant had to be rendered no longer applicable else it would have been a contradiction by God Himself. To state that the Old Covenant was still in vogue or that it had never been revoked is contrary to Catholic truth.

Yet scholars such as non-Thomist philosophers like Karol Wojtyla and Joseph Ratzinger, schooled in authentic Catholic Philosophy and Theology, seem to have missed this point. As a true Catholic you see, I no longer have to scratch my head to the bone trying to figure out why this is so. I think of them as I would think of Billy Graham, Martin Luther, Tammy Faye Baker or any other heretic who has veered from true Christian doctrine. Who cares what they say or teach? Why pay any heed to it? Past authentic popes have stated that if even an infitesmal part of the a body is poisoned, the entire body is affected. Stay clear of any poison or suffer the risk of being polluted and contracting the poison yourself.

The heretics Giovanni Montini,Wojtyla and Ratzinger like all other heretics either founded or belong to a new church thanks to the mad-scientist Angelo Roncalli and his aggiornamento experiment that went horribly awry, creating a church that is different from the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. That is they belong to a false Church, to a heretical Church, a Church without valid sacraments or priests, alas to a Church in which there is no salvation.

It is in this light that I share the facts about the Old Covenant which the Jєωs belong(ed) to, the New Covenant in which the Catholics belong to and the New New Covenant which the heretics belong to in the following illustration:

    Old Covenant (Jєωιѕн Faith)

MORAL LAW - Decalogue (Ten Commandments) never revoked
CEREMONIAL LAW – Sacrificing animals (revoked)
JURIDICAL LAW – Eye for eye (revoked)

    New Covenant (Catholic Faith)

MORAL LAW – Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, Marriage raised to a Sacrament, no Divorce and Remarriage allowed as it was in the Old Covenant
CEREMONIAL LAW – True Mass and Sacraments
JURIDICAL LAW – Code of Canon Law which applies the Eternal Law to current situations and circuмstances

    New Concoction (Anti-Church “faith”)

MORAL LAW - False and ambiguous morals and doctrines or true morals and doctrines mixed with false morals and doctrines – the “mutual submission” of husband and wife, the begetting of children lowered from THE primary purpose of marriage to one of two EQUAL purposes of marriage along with the “unitive” aspect, Natural Family Planning (NFP) now a necessity to be learned before people are allowed to be married, salvation for the Greek “Orthodox”, Jєω, protestant and all other schismatics, heretics and apostates, the Old Law “never being revoked” and a “religious liberty” which makes us slaves to the state and the current fanciful whims of man to name a few of the anti-church’s false and ambiguous morals and doctrines.

CEREMONIAL LAW – New orders of ceremonies with 83% of the true Mass abolished which equates to what they rightly call “new” but wrongly call “mass” if calling it a “mass” implies this concoction is an organic development of the Catholic Mass left with the Apostles that has been faithfully guarded and preserved. The post conciliar Vatican leaders have faithfully guarded and preserved nothing but their own inadequacy. This new concoction is a mutation rather than an organic development equipped with (at best) a doubtful validity. A validly ordained priest offering a satanic mass could have a valid consecration. Why are we satisfied with a possible valid consecration? Additionally we also have new sacraments invented. New exorcisms invented. A new rosary invented.

JURIDICAL LAW – A new code of canon law. Can you see how everything is new? We have the Old Covenant of the Jєωs, the New Covenant of the Catholics and I guess a new new covenant (or concoction) of the anti-Church which is “made up” (pun intended) of everyone (from their “pope” on down) except Catholics. The new code of canon law stems from a false notion of what the Church of Christ is (some vague and mystical thing not one and the same as the Roman Catholic Church) and which allows, by law, heretical acts such as heretics now being allowed to receive the Sacrament of Unity despite their lack of unity with the Church of Christ to be “law” making a “law of man” in opposition to the Law of God in the name of “Catholicism”.

As you can see the new church adherents know not what they adhere to. So what are those who have their finger on the pulse of reality to do?

What can we do? Once we get past the stage of finally waking up and smelling the coffee and the initial enthusiasm we use to share the truth with others we realize, for all practical purposes, that seemingly 99% of the "Catholic-at-heart" people - the best the new church has to offer will turn a deaf ear to the idea of attending a Mass that is not approved by the current heretic in charge of this or that diocese or THE heretic that resides at the top.

To whom much is given much is expected. But is it not better to avoid running into a brick wall all together rather than trying to see if you can go through it?

I say this knowing that there are other readers on this site that have family members that won’t budge and think you are extreme or crazy and just don’t understand you or get it. I say this knowing that this can be a source of frustration in your life. But think of Saint Augustine and his mother. Do you think her main weapon was to rationalize and reason with him? Who is going to convince a massive intellect like that that he is wrong? Who is going to convert a man stuck in his sins as Augustine was through persuasion and argumentation, let alone yelling and screaming and calling him stupid and telling him he is going to hell? While that is important because we must admonish the sinner out of love for God and love for our neighbor that we want them to be saved, it often ends up with defensive walls going up. We all know how Saint Monica converted her son right? Prayer. She was just the best Catholic she could be and prayed unceasingly for her son the heretic. Can we do any better than Saint Monica?

Don’t get me wrong. If someone initiates the conversation then you can respond with the truth which might seem to them like you are putting them in their place – which is precisely what you are doing in that you are helping them to see where they are in relation to the truth. A key is not to be overly sensitive to their responses when they say you are being “negative” or lacking compassion and various other types of “poor me, you’re crazy” type of defensive reactions or that favorite ploy of accusing you of being "hateful" or the other signal, they'll quickly change the subject or make an excuse to leave. These are some of the reactions that you may get when you present others with the facts. You should always give them any legitimate point they make and show them in a non-condescending way if that is possible - in other words, don't dialogue with the devil - that you were where they are and you know what they are thinking and why. Remind them:

We are what you once were.
We believe what you once believed.
We worship as you once worshipped.
If you were right then, we are right now.
If we are wrong now, you were wrong then.

Chances are they'll ask you to repeat it and if they do, that is in your favor. Repeat it! Repeat it three times so it will sink in and shake their comfort zone. Make them think and help them realize that now that they have an inkling of what you are talking about, that you have the truths, then how they follow-up in pursuing those truths has a tremendous impact on their very salvation. Of course, the success of your proselytizing the true Faith is contingent on prayer, living what you preach, and knowing, really knowing the Faith and teachings of Holy Mother the Church.

Remind them that we too began our journey to truth by questioning why everything in the new Church was so wrong? I believe many of us initially thought that it had nothing to do with the pope but only with the bad bishops and the bad lay people put in high and inappropriate places. As we all know that is where they are. Remind them of what our dear Lord said in Matthew 7: 15-20 about false prophets and no good fruits from a bad tree. Many robotically are convinced that the new mass can be fixed and that Vatican 2 can be properly implemented. And these are the best new churchers!?! Many of the others don’t care or even like the novelty and heresies and are completely and willfully blind to all realty that entails sacrifice or merely any thought process whatsoever it seems. The lukewarm church of Laodicia comes to mind and we know what God thinks in the Book of the Apocalypse 3: 16 regarding those who are neither hot nor cold.

They are going along to get along, showing little if any backbone and falling for all the insane innovations because they're comfortable in their comfort zone and don't anyone dare disturb it because they don't want to face the fact that they will be held accountable before God for their actions and inactions.

As I mentioned earlier, let us follow the example of St. Monica and turn to prayer. Let us pray for an increase of humility – the most fertile ground for the seeds of truth to be planted – amongst our friends of the "Catholic-at-heart" and legitimate Catholics that are willfully blind and pray that once the truth is planted that they respond to the truth in a appropriate Catholic way. Don't give up, once, twice, let's hope the third time is the charm and conversion.

"I receive Thee, redeeming Prince of my soul. Out of love for Thee have I studied, watched through many nights, and exerted myself: Thee did I preach and teach. I have never said aught against Thee. Nor do I persist stubbornly in my views. If I have ever expressed myself erroneously on this Sacrament, I submit to the judgement of the Holy Roman Church, in obedience of which I now part from this world." Saint Thomas Aquinas the greatest Doctor of the Church
