I posted this in the other thread, but thought it reasonable and fair to place it here as well. I know there are those who disagree with me, and I seek not to silence them or act as if they do not exist. If it helps others to read what they are saying, so be it:
Apparently, there are some discussing this matter, and the Ode itself to some degree (?), at this site:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/traditionalcatholicsclub/I am not a member, and am not interested in joining just to see what they are saying, but I provide the information all the same. I encourage others to read any counter-arguments posted there, if they are so inclined for whatever reason. That said, the Ode itself, being poetry, does not really contain any 'arguments' to be countered, in the usual fashion.
I have been told some of the posts, perhaps the majority, are from Sean Murray, a fine Irish lad. I have always considered, do now consider, and will always consider Sean a friend. He sent me a kind email, although he clearly disagrees with what I am saying/how I am saying it. I respect his opinion, and hold him in the highest regard.
I imagine there will be further writings that attempt to gainsay what I have said, some probably shifting the focus in order to discredit the messenger. Such is to be expected in a situation like this. Whatever is said about me, I will not seek to defend myself, as it is not about ME - but about the COMMON GOOD. I wish all of my adversarii nothing but the best, temporally and spiritually, in time and eternity. Godspeed to all.
