I think of traditional priests who are physically broken after years of traveling and poor living conditions just to say the Latin Mass in different locations. Some living in cramped conditions, even under a staircase. These priests look very well looked after. The Monks in Italy had very cold monasteries. Then they installed heating in the 70s and took away the discipline (corporal mortification). Lust and socialism took off. But then again, they also forced the nuns in France to watch TV for half an hour a day in the 70s as well. A bit like forcing priests to use social media. Go offline and say the Mass...
Even Pope Paul VI had to say
“We see prevailing in ever more harmful manifestations nowadays an attempt to make the body the beginning and the end of life ... arriving to the point, in these very days, of naturalistic and obscene displays, and of the exaltation of nudism, eroticism and pansɛҳuąƖism.” Pope Paul VI - Castel Gandolfo, August 1970
