    • Those were harsher times,  governments no longer execute ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs.   First and foremost they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and if they are not imprisoned then a hermitage on top of some mountain might be an option.

    • The argument of times changing is a modernist one.

    ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs should be executed, even priests. The difference is that priests are executed in private and away from the faithful to avoid bringing the priesthood into disrepute. This is the practice of the Church. If you don't like this, you're pretty much not Catholic.

    Lay homesɛҳuąƖs should be burned publically as they were in the middle ages.

    We are of course talking about people who have committed these sins, and not those who have temptations.

    • It's not about being Catholic, modernist or otherwise.  Capital punishments are only carried out by the civil government. From what I have read that was true even during the Inquisition, the Church never executed anyone, the individuals were turned over to the civil government.  

    The civil government has decided sodomy is no longer a capital offense so there will be no more executions for that offense.

    Do you think that the Church is currently killing ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ clergy?  You say "...priests are executed..." and  "This is the practice of the Church.", present tense.
