It would be comparatively easy for us to be holy if only we could always see the character of our neighbours either in soft shade or with the kindly deceits of moonlight upon them. Of course, we are not to grow blind to evil

So ... Of those who commented, half of you have no sense of humor.

He appears to have largely given up on dialogue and prefers spamming to get his message across.

Spamming? I'm posting interesting articles to try to get some meaty discussion going on around here!

Get my message across? What message is that? The articles I've posted have either been news stories or Traditional opinion pieces.

Sheesh! No good deed goes unquestioned!  :smirk:

Dialogue - an exchange of ideas or opinions on a particular issue, especially a political or religious issue, with a view to reaching an amicable agreement or settlement.

    as opposed to

Logorrhea (or verbal diarrhea) 1.  Pathologically incoherent, repetitive speech 2.  Incessant or compulsive talkativeness; wearisome volubility.

  • I personally found this thread to be childish. Why start a thread like this just to heat things up?
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

It was meant to be funny ... nothing more.

  • I was going to start a thread saying something like--

RIP Crisis in the Church section ( 2007-2011 )
    Wanted for Murder: StevusMagnus
Means of Death: Endless spam threads about "Neo-Caths" that rigorously adhere to the SSPX party line ( VII is bad but the Popes are still Popes no matter what )

Then I saw this thread and realized the joke had already been made.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

Discussions usually involve staying on the topic and addressing and answering the questions at hand. You wouldn't know an honest discussion if it came up behind you and bit you on the backside!

If they are Traditional opinion pieces then I'm a rinoceros!

  • Rhino,

Discussions also involve posting accurate quotes that have some modicuм of authenticity.

Not slapping down that a Saint gave 8 sermons on Jєωs and then directly underneath slapping an out of context quote that came from not one of those 8 sermons.

And also not trying to laughably claim the unattributed quote was a "compilation" of quotes from the 8 sermons when not one sentence in the phantom quote matches up to any quote in any of the 8 sermons!  :laugh1:
