First Communion "Star Wars" Mass with Light Saber Blessing
    Hohenbrunn (Catholic news).
There is a tremendous departure presently in southern Germany, which had its source in association with four parishes (St. Stephen in Putzbrunn, Ortisei in Sunnyvale, St. Magdalena in Ottobrun and St. Stephen in Hohenbrunn), from the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church. It wasn't Darth Vader who gave the blessing to the first communion children. This was personally undertaken by Pastor Christoph Nobs with a bright green laser sword at the celebration of a Star Wars First Communion Mass. The idea for the stars-War Communion came from Nicolas Gkotses community director. Star Wars had been a theme for the children in their religious instruction and so he tried to communicate the gospel in this way in a timely manner. - "May the force be with you!"
"Let us thank God for having called us to His holy faith. It is a great gift, and the number of those who thank God for it is small."
    -- St. Alphonsus de Liguori

  • What baffles me is that there are still some conciliar officials who don't understand why people aren't interested anymore.

They've taken the supreme mystery of our Faith, the re-presentation of the Sacrifice of Calvary, and turned it into a banal and pedestrian magic show.  Most of these kids probably haven't even seen Star Wars, but I'd be willing to bet that just as easily as they'll stop watching their favourite flick of the month, they'll walk away from this and not look back.

This is why I stopped receiving communion at the NO before I left it altogether.  I'm simply not in communion with these people.

  • I used to like Star Wars, and I still kind of do (the old "soft spot in the heart", even after learning on an intellectual level what's wrong with the movie from a Catholic standpoint)

But I think this is ridiculous. How low will they go?

  • I used to like Star Wars also, but apart from wanting to avoid the scantily clad Princess Leia, I've found the original 3 movies somewhat boring & the last 3 movies were mostly garbage. I still like Sci-Fi though.

Well, at least the minister probably hasn't properly consecrated whatever he has there - fairy cakes or waffles or pumpernickel. Actually, the Germans are good for cakes. Maybe they'll have a black forest cake with coffee at a German themed mass, along with the minister clad in leather shorts doing the slappy dance. Hey, how about an Oktoberfest-themes celebration? Beer & bratwurst! That table cloth he's wearing looks like it's stain-resistant, so he wont need to be too careful.

Ok, ok, I got carried away.

Because, the conciliar officials have lost the Faith.  Its that simple.  They don't care what goes on in their parishes.  These officials are worldly and non-believing.  Some are even outright atheists.   As long as they have a salary, a group who follows the same beliefs (or non-beliefs), a retirement pension, a nice place to live, fancy cars and nice clothes, they are set for life.  True Catholicism? HA! Just a bunch of fairy tales to placate the masses and keep the money flowing into Concilar coffers.

  • And these priests and clergy are HOW OLD?
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • The Force be with you.
    And also with you.

    Lift up your lightsabres.
We lift them up to the Dark Lord George Lucas.

Let us give thanks for all the great merchandising
It is right to give Lucas thanks and grovelling praise.

Go in the peace and luv luv luv of Jar Jar Binks.

    Meesa!

(In Revenge of the Sith, Obi Wan says that only Sith deal in absolutes. We as TradCaths also deal in the absolutes in the Faith. Guess I am a Sith. )

  • George Lucas incorporated a number of different elements into his Star Wars saga:  Arthur (Luke Skywalker) and the Knights of the Round Table (Chewbacca, etc.), Merlin (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Excalibur (Luke's lightsaber), Queen Guinevere (Princess Leia), Sir Lancelot (Han Solo), The Green Knight (Luke's father, Darth Vader), medievalism (subsistence living, peasant women in long dresses), medieval Catholicism (monasticism and monastic orders, celibacy of Jedi knights), nαzιsm (Imperial stormtroppers), Imperial Rome (the Republic senate and emperor), Star Trek (cloaking device, faster-than-light travel), materialism (C-3PO, a conscious and sentient robot), Satanism and the occult (Luke's journey into the Dagobah cave), paganism (many spiritualities, "all religions are true"), relativism (destroying whole civilizations to achieve a goal), futurism ("technology will solve all our problems"), etc.

Hardly an overall theme for a so-called Catholic confirmation class!  Perhaps the good priest should consider the following testimony:

According to this post on the Diocese of Wichita website the "priest" in question is still a conciliarist, having recently retired. Either he failed to learn what God was trying to tell him, or his story is a total fabrication.

  • Star Wars itself comes from a completely leftist point of view so I am not surprised these fake "Catholics" worship Star Wars. I saw the movies and I never liked or cared for them.

  • So, the head of this organization is whom I'm "cut off" from? God is good!
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine
