  • I just came across this piece:

Star Wars and the History of Vatican II

He makes some good points but, alas, the analysis is tainted with unconscious Neoism. Let readers know of it in the comments.

  • That was not the best article in terms of convincing people that Vatican II was a sham...
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Great article for a Star Wars fan who goes every once and a while to a novus ordo church.

I think it's high time we stop saying that VII was a victim of misinterpretation and start calling it a great deception.

The high regard for JPII was pretty standard cliche - by any reasonable measure, the Church lost ground and lost reputation during the JPII reign.  Much of JPII's successes are actually illusions because as a young man he did have experience as a thespian who knew how to put on a good stage show.

However, for the novus ordite who is also a die hard Star Wars fan - the article would be a lot of fun.

As for VII being the greatest event of the 20th century, there may be more truth to that than the writer realizes - and not in a good way.
