  • Quite interesting indeed.  In particular, the parallel of Order 66 and what we might call Order 666, the strategy of the conciliarists to extinguish the sacramental integrity of the Catholic Church, namely Holy Orders.  The driving of the Jedi underground, until their near extinction-- very much like the situation today, with so few certainly valid priests.

    Thanks.

To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • Lemmings at CAF earn their title as brainwashed stormtroopers, thus proving the article true...

"More rad-trad Pharisee whining over Vatican II, glorifying the schismatic Levfebre and promoting Sedavacantism."

"I would say it is sophmoric attempt to paint one's own little clique as the persecuted remnant and insinuates, since that is the most one can say with a an analogy, a schismatic attitude. Comparing the current papacy with the Sith is not something a good Catholic should do."

  • This is the face of a well-known Jesuit who died about 7 years before Vat.II:

He did a lot of the early "work" to prepare for it but was not present at Vat.II.
(This shows the right side of his face, if the picture is reversed.)

The site above probably reversed the image right-left:

Here is a better image, when he was about 10 years older
(this seems to be actually the other side of his face from the
Star Wars site's shot - as I said, they flipped it over):

  • In this picture, you can see how his face is non-symmetrical (which is quite
common, but his features are easily seen to be so - usually it's not so
obvious for most people).  Notice the bumps on his lower lip are on both
    sides of the lower lip.

  • I should have just posted this one only:

This was the source photo, which is a copy of the one above:

    mots.extraits.free.fr/Pierre_Teilhard_de_Chardin2.gif

The StarWars site has this one below it (I guess the implication is that
the latter is based on the former?) :

  • De Chardin bears a striking resemblance to Grand Moff Tarkin:

I'm genuinely freaked out by all the comparisons between the star war saga and what has happened in the Church.  I wonder if they are more than innocent coincidences.

Apparently a bit of a zeitgeist, because I thought of this too, many months ago.

I can't disagree -- about Grandy, up there that is.  Only, I've never seen a
photo of de Chardin with his hand before his mouth like that.  But the head and
expression are undeniably similar.  Hey - even the collars are too close for
coincidence.  They kept Grandy's dark because white would be just too
obvious.  Can't have him looking like a priest, you know!!

(But if you look closely, you can see there is a white under-collar inside!)

I heard that de Chardin was refused burial in a Catholic cemetery because of
his heresies, that it was one of the sanctions meted out against him.  Pretty
severe, considering he was a priest, and all.  Those were the days when serious
    penalties really stuck, I suppose.
