I know that there is already another thread concerning the same saint, and I have remembered that I have for a long time desired to find out what the proper understanding of St. Robert Bellarmine's writing is on politics because some Catholics would use what he said to defend the U.S. Declaration of Independence and American principles. How true did his writing actually influence the formation of American principles? And was he somewhat off the mark in that area philosophy and theology? This is not to put him down at all. I am open to the truth in this matter.
Also, his feast is on May 13, the same day Our Lady of Fatima first appeared to the three children. It is kind of interesting considering his writing being used to support sedevacantism and the crisis in the Church especially concerning the Fatima apparitions. I remember there was some kind of mention somewhere of an emphasis on May 13, 2013. We will see what God wills on that day though.
