SSPX silence on latest Bergolio scandal

    • So, I have been searching for any news about the SSPX condemning the latest Bergolio scandal in which he approves of praying to the Western "Grandma" for guidance. So far, I've come up empty. If any of you have heard of SSPX priests condemning this act from the pulpit, many here would appreciate the information.

    BTW, the SSPX's official position is that Franicis is just a "Bad Dad".

    According to the Society's philosophy, If your Dad came home drunk and beats your Mom, you're supposed to try to talk him out it and pray for him... that's it.

    Yet, SSPX leaders deny the reality of Francis's illegitimacy and the implications of his actions.

    He doesn't have a marriage certificate to be our legitimate Dad... and he's coming home drunk with the intent to kill us and Mom.

    I think the new-sspx's leadership is moving towards Modernism day by day.  But many sspx priests are still orthodox.  That being said, the sspx isn't a news organization and they shouldn't be spending time (nor do they have the time) to condemn each and every error/heresy that comes out of new rome.  Even if they did have the time, it's a waste of time.  And the laity don't need to be obsessed with what new rome is doing or not doing.  That's a distraction, just like politics.

    • Our SSPX priest here had been condemning him from the pulpit for the past 2 weeks. Also there's this:

    I'm not trying to say SSPX is still good as it used to be, just want to be fair. And I agree with Pax, I really don't think it's necessary for SSPX to even spare a look at that degenerate. The problem is intention, if they avoid the Pope's issues because of "the deal" then it's surely a bad sign.

    • Thanks for posting this. I will try and listen later. It still does not explain the SSPX “leadership” sticking their heads in the sand and ignoring Bergolio’s crimes against the faith. Yes, the SSPX is covering for Bergolio; there is no doubt about it.

    Oh, sure, you'll get a rogue SSPX priest here or there going off the reservation.  Is this an older priest (i.e. 45+)?  They are the most likely to retain the spirit of the classic SSPX.

    But SSPX have officially gone silent about Bergoglio, giving him a pass for pretty much every heresy and scandal since he gave them their "Year of Mercy" surprise.

    • Pax Vobis:  You hit the nail right on the head.  I can not talk to an old friend because the truth is not truth but detraction.  But where is it in the bible that there will be scandals that will arise, you can expect it.  I was reading "The True Story of Vatican Council I by Cardinal Manning.  It is very good reading and mercy there was so many secrets, clergy that were infiltrators, spies, wars, mercy to get a job done you have to speak up!

    • Silence is not golden, in this case.  I see it as being uncharitable on the priests part, to speak truth.  I am wondering if being silent and declaring that they will not detract, as they say, is a part of a scheme to keep the people there, ignorant.
