  • The Catholic religion is the fulfillment of the Jєωιѕн religion, it is the Will of God that all Jєωs follow into it.  Jesus, Mary, Joseph and Apostles did that, they are still of the Jєωιѕн race.   That is my understanding of an explanation.
    Please pray for my soul.

Judaism is a dead religion.  I know that you know this, but it's something that modernists are trying to "repudiate."

Yes, they are members of the Jєωιѕн race, but they are members of the Church.  Christ is the head of the Church.

The problem is the modernist idea that they were Jєωs (like the Jєωs today) and that the Church is a later development.

I thought I said that exactly, but thank you for making it clear to the readers.

It's a very serious problem when Catholics are talking about the Holy Family and Apostles as being Jєωs, and not as members of the Church.

    Why?

Because to think of them as belonging to the Jєωs but not to the Church gives the Jєωs a claim on them that is not valid.  It is judaizing.

They belong to the Jєωιѕн race, they all descend from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we must not deny this, and not even remain silent about this.
And if God has chosen the Jєωs and wanted His Mother and He Himself to be born from that people there must be a reason don`t you think?

To affirm they descend from Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not to deny they belong to the Church. They are two different things.

We hardly have a duty to proclaim "Jesus was a Jєω" all the time.  No one here is denying he was of the Jєωιѕн race, but those who make too much of it are judaizing.

And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham for our father. For I tell you that God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham.

Yes, he made a promise to Abraham.  There's a reason He was born among them, and a reason they reject Him.

We have people claiming they were not Catholic.  If someone says they are Jєωιѕн but not Catholic they're falling right into the hands of the Judaizers.

I'm really trying to figure out the motivation for your post.

I don`t see your point here.

True... and there is a reason why they`ll convert too....

Many people parrot Jєωs and philosemites who endlessly repeat "Jesus was a Jєω" whenever a Christian criticizes the Jєωs.  If people take that seriously, it means they see criticism of the Jєωs  as somehow being insulting to Christ.

"Making too much of Jesus being a Jєω" is something that's very common.  For example - many people circuмcize with Christ's circuмcision in mind.

  • I agree with Telesphorus and Jehanne. We must be careful about saying Mary, Joseph, and the Apostles were Jєωιѕн because it makes it sound like they were not Catholic. Jesus was never Jєωιѕн.

Certainly not a modern тαℓмυdic Jєω or a follower of Hillel.  He was circuмcised in the Temple and was born of the House of David in the Tribe of Judah.

Well, I guess he just showed his true colors. What a slap in the face to call Our Lord a Jєω! Jєωs believe that Christ hasn't come yet, so how the heck could Jesus be a Jєω? That would mean He thinks He Himself hasn't come yet, and that makes no sense. Yes, Mary and the Apostles were AT ONE POINT Jєωιѕн until they converted to Traditional Catholicism. Fellay sounds as if he wants everyone to accept the Jєωιѕн religion, and he probably does judging by that comment.

"What a slap in the face to call Our Lord a Jєω!" On another thread on a related subject, I said I hope I had not crossed the line into incivility.  I will express no such hope here.

    What breathtakingly stupid statement.

What is stupid about my statement? The Jєωs believe Jesus has not come yet, so to call Jesus a Jєω would mean that He would have to believe that He Himself has not come yet. How would that even be possible?

The why did he say we shouldn't be against the Jєωs? It's common sense. Yes they were Jєωιѕн race, but not religion. Sigismund misunderstood my post.
