I wouldn’t pay money to view any funeral.
-
I don't know what's worse -- that they are giving a funeral to a Novus Ordo "bishop", or that they are asking people to contribute to it.
-
God is separating the goats to the left and sheep to the right. Goats are infiltrating everything.
-
Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.
-
Menzigen begging for money to watch a funeral? The SSPX should be embarrassed! I’ve never met Bp. Huonder or looked into his circuмstances, but it’s disrespectful to his memory and in very poor taste.
I hope he comes back to haunt 👻 them!
-
Even funerals are an opportunity for the SSPX to fundraise I can’t say I’m surprised.

Or burying him right next to Archbishop Lefebvre ... (the two are not on a par by any stretch)

In which case, Our Lord may allow Archbishop LeFebvre to laugh at Bp. Huonder.

i am surprised they are not offering different subscription tiers.....
"Bring out your dead" Standard package - up to 720 dpi streaming quality
Silver tier - up to 1080 dpi plus you get an autographed picture of Bishop Fellay
Gold tier - streamed in 4K with Dolby surround Chant and a chance to get your picture taken with neosspx superiors (as long as you pay for the trip to Econe)

Three Bishops of the SSPX are shown attending the Funeral Mass (very beginning of the video). Inquiring minds need to know: 1. Was "Bp?" Huonder conditionally consecrated before his death? 2. Was he an official member of the Society? 3. Did the Vatican send a representative to attend?
-
This is reminiscent of the “prize” of a slightly used Cadillac, a lottery open to big money donors to the SSPX. I don’t remember what the donations were for, but there was a photo of a bunch of smiling seminarians posed around the car.
I awarded it my mental gold metal for Tackiest Event of the Week!
Charging to watch a funeral online gets gold for Most Tasteless Event of the Week. (Of course, the week is not over, so I’ll let CI folks know if anything knocks this down to silver or bronze!)
-
The Bronze subscription gets you a set of steak knives.

How many in a set, four or six? And is shipping and handling to the US included? Because my local bank is offering a set of six for opening a basic savings account for $50.

and be sure to help out the youtube algorithm for my channel, derrrrrrrrrrr.

I bet he was not. He was not even ordained properly.

I fast forwarded through the video and found a couple things strange.
1. Flowers on the coffin. Never seen this before. Flowers weren't allowed except for children.
2. Eleven candles around the coffin. Traditionally it's six and seven for a Bishop. But Eleven???
3. No black funeral pall, bare coffin just like the last pope that died.
Francis said he'll change the funeral rites....I guess this is a taste of things to come.

Thank you for your observations. I could not take more than the first few minutes; saw the SSPX bishops, and women with no veils on their heads behind the Sisters. Maybe this was a hybrid Funeral Mass. Were there any reports of lightning strikes nearby?

Update: Opus Dei "Bishop" of Chur attends funeral in Econe.

Not exactly a Dies Irae (https://www.virgosacrata.com/dies-irae.html) sort of scene.
