I’ve been very harsh to sedes in past years here. I owe it to them to share the following. I’ve been a “Bennyvacantist” for a few years, now. So that’s where I’m at personally. But recently my stance against sedes has softened. Here are some things I’ve recently said:
- Fr. Altman is fine.
- Fr. Altman is fine. It’s not easy to be ahead of the curve.
- Fr. Altman did Catholics a service by flushing out compromised bishops.
- ¡bReAking Nooze!: Bishop from nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr diocese defends authority of nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr False Prophet propped up by emerging nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr global government, thus further actualizing Biblical prophecies we’ve already known about since Sunday school! Film at 11.
- Either Catholic Church law has no meaning and can be ignored, depending on whichever regime controls the Vatican, or sedes of both stripes—both pre-V2 and Bennyvacantists—have valid, reasonable concerns.
And if you want to hear it, I did a podcast interview with one Sede colleague who calls himself The Kurgan:

In any event, this is certainly owed to folks in this space.

I'm not clear on whether he is bennyvacantist or "1958 sedevacantist". Do you happen to know?

I'm pretty sure Bergoglio is his problem, not VII.

Neither, he is believe that Jorge is a public, manifest, willful heretic and lost the papacy.
-
It would be weird for him to be a 1958 sedevacantist until or if he seeks conditional ordination.
There's some sede chapels in the Twin Cities/southern MN if he's still in the Lacrosse diocese.

So if he doesn't think Benedict 16th was the last pope, and he doesn't think Pius XII was the last pope, then who does he think the last pope was?

He holds Benedict xvi as the last true Pope if I'm not mistaken.

I think there is confusion because he didn't always believe the Seat was empty since Ratzinger's resignation/Bergoglio's invalid election, as is the case with "Bennyvacantists". He has only recently come to this conclusion based on Bergoglio's heresy.
PS. Thank you Laramie.

In the video he made he referred to JPII and Paul VI as "saints."

So even worse than just thinking they're legitimate.

From what I could gather, he believes Benedict 16th remained pope until his death, and that there is currently no pope as Francis is invalid.
So yes, the word sedevacantist means "someone who believes the seat is vacant", but now Bennyvacantists are also sedevacantists, although the term "sedevacantist" usually means a "1958 sedevacantist". That's why I asked what he believes.
So he is Bennyvacantist.

By default perhaps. But I still don't think he's the same as those Bennyvacantists who were so because they thought Bergoglio's election was invalid. His reason is because Bergoglio is a heretic, not because his election was never valid.

So then he doesn't believe we had a pope until 2022 (Benedict's death)? He thinks we had a pope until 2013, then?

I may be completely off base with this, but I think he thinks we had a pope until Bergoglio committed heresy. When that happened for Fr Altman, I don't know. I think he thought Bergoglio was pope until some moment in time. I admit I have not watched his video....and don't care to.
