  • Eh, just your usual post VII anger towards ABL, SSPX, Traditional "cults" and that we should at least be honest like Protestants and not call ourselves Catholic.  Blah, blah, blah.

Hey, but he attends ICKSP and sees nothing wrong with JPII's false ecuмenism, etc, etc.

Now he's saying Pius X would use Pascendi to dispose of ABL and his cult.

That’s funny, especially when you consider that there would be no need for ANY resistance-type group if Pope Pius were the pontiff.
"This principle is most certain: The non-Christian cannot in any way be Pope. The reason for this is that he cannot be head of what he is not a member. Now, he who is not a Christian is not a member of the Church, and a manifest heretic is not a Christian, as is clearly taught by St. Cyprian, St. Athanasius, St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and others. Therefore, the manifest heretic cannot be Pope." -- St. Robert Bellarmine

Ask him to explain that one to you.  Read that encyclical yourself so you'll be familiar with the thinking patterns of the modernists as exposed by Pope St Pius X.

There are only two types that call us Catholics of being heretics or schismatics:  Modernists and Feeneyites.

You are compelled to inject your theological ideas and semi-universalism into any, ....every thread that you post on.

And when anyone responds, it will be you who will be calling others heretic.

The two current attacks against Catholics are from the modernists and the Feeneyites.  The modernists have already been exposed, but the Feeneyites hide under the guise of orthodoxy, so they are more dangerous.

The Feeneyite movement is responsible for causing countless Catholics to doubt or deny truths of the Catholic Faith, thereby falling ino heresy or error or both.

They pretend to oppose to the novelties of Vatican II while at the same time are forming a new sect based on Protestant foundations.

What the BOD adherents defend (and obssess about) is not "Baptism of Desire". Far from. It is salvation by implicit desire of non Catholics. A heretical novelty.

    Catholic dogmas for salvation require:

     1) explicit faith (cannot be a heretic),
     2) reception of the sacraments (member of the Church),
     3) and submission to the Roman Pontiff (cannot be a schismatic)

A person is simply not a Catholic if fail to have ALL three above.

The definition of heresy is the rejection of a single dogma. The denial of EENS is a modernist heresy.
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

Kind of a dangerous meeting of sorts. Points to hidden, but real gains to be had during conflict and strife rather than blindly putting the opponent down and having people pat you on the back.

In other words, an opportunity awaits to re-interpret his challenge as a possible new point of entry to self-growth and self-knowledge; let alone making him aware of another point of view out there.

The attempt itself (if you choose); even if it turns out that you could've done better will teach you something about yourself that you can build on in the future... that is; if your intention is such.

If you've read Papal Encyclicals in the past; then I agree with the above and try to absorb Pascendi inside and out; memorizing certain key terms of understanding. However, if you're not accustomed to reading the Popes from beginning to end; you may find Pascendi to be 'some heavy lifting' -- especially if read on the fly --- into being used as an applied theological strategy of debate
