  • I would like to ask these newer members and any others if they are familiar with the  alleged controversy surrounding this great man of the Church and what your op on the matter might be.

Worry about what God wants you to do in your daily life, roscoe. God wants you to be sober, pious, and just in all your thoughts, words, and deeds. If you maintain that you personally can smoke a little grass every now and then and you don't get high and you need it to get through your life in this post-Edenic fallen condition, then do it. Just don't get on a public Internet forum advising some young girl who comes to us for help in cleaning up her life and telling her it's OK to sit around getting schnockered on pot. You're scandalizing her and all the other young, confused, or inexperienced who might come here seeking a little guidance.

As far as this tedious "green herbs" nonsense from Genesis 9:3, look at the whole passage, roscoe:

And every thing that moveth and liveth shall be meat for you:  even as the green herbs have I delivered them all to you:

Now, I know you can smoke meat, but after that you have to eat it. You don't put it in a pipe or a bong or roll it up into a reefer.

Verse 4 continues: Saving that flesh with blood you shall not eat.

Again, the emphasis is on "eat." Eat, not light up and inhale.

I don't know if smoking a little bit of pot is mortally or even venially sinful. That's not the point. The point is that it is not part of a good traditional Catholic life to use marijuana. Ask anyone who grew up pre-Vat2 if they thought it was OK to smoke dope. Most of what we do and believe as Trad Caths is based on the respect we have for the values and the lifestyles of our Catholic predecessors. Any of us who come from Catholic families with Catholic roots and Catholic ancestors can tell you that those people really, really, really frowned on things like smoking pot. That was the kind of thing back in the day that you got beaten with a strap or kicked out of the house for. It was the kind of thing dirty, shaggy, counterculture hippies and scandalous Hollywood actors did. Why would you want to imitate hedonistic, befuddled beatniks and immoral show business people instead of our simple, salt-of-the-earth, hard-working ancestors?

As far as these MK-Ultra CIA/KGB/NSA freemasonilluminajudaicommunistic programs go, remember that they can only kill the body, not the soul. Ask your guardian angel and your patron saint to protect you from them and they can't touch you, at least not where it counts.

:soapbox: Climbing down off of it now.

  • If a person is subject to MK Ultra, it is a judgment from God.

    A few things could happen:

    1) The person could lose all their belief in God and go to hell as a result.

    2) The person could FIND God and go to heaven as a result (second chance while still in the flesh)

    3) The person could die as a result, and go to either heaven or hell.

    And yes, SOBER is key.

  • CM's statement that if one is subject to MK Ultra  it is a judgement from God is beyond my comprehension--- a small infant??? You weren't perhaps one of the insrtuctors at the Manhattan Bch Preschool were you?

SJT doesn't give an SH*T. (No offense to Cdl. Rampolla, may he rest in peace.)

SJT doesn't want to get bogged down in one of these fruitless obsessive/compulsive inane bloated threads about matters of absolutely no importance to one's salvation, which hinges on imitating Christ, not debating fine points of canon law which even great Saints cannot agree upon or digging up past Churchmen and subjecting them to a new 21st century Inquisition.

    'Nuff said.

And I see you're still debating whether a good Catholic can smoke pot and now you've even thrown airplane glue into the equation.

ChantCD, is there any chance of adding one of those "beating a dead horse" smilies to the emoticon chart? They have one over at Fisheaters. It would come in handy sometimes (a lot of times) here.

Maybe.  Maybe not.  I don't know either way, but an awful lot of people think that Roscoe's old uncle Mariano is a Freemason, and if Roscoe wouldn't mind sharing with me again why he thinks he wasn't, I'd like to review the info for myself.

  • You can use the search function of this site to review the case. My attitide towards Card Rampolla is hardly to subject him to INQ-- it is to defend him from the hordes who are most ignorantly( or maybe not) attempting to destroy the Church.

I have noticed that a couple of members like to use disguised profanity in there posts. Although I do have a bad habit of swearing privately, doing so for effect in the Forum never occured to me.

Why am I not surprised that SJT has not had the honor of being banned from FE.
