  • I was looking up the history of my home parish (where I grew up) and the diocese in which I lived.

I came across the teaching order that taught my mother, grandmother, and probably all of my family who lived in that diocese.

    As Joliet Franciscans,
we commit to cultivating a reverent,
    interdependent relationship with earth
    and all its peoples.

    Reduce your personal water usage:
    - shorten your shower by a minute or two
    ( saves 150 gallons of water a month )
    - turn the water off as you brush your teeth
    ( saves a gallon a day )
    - run dishwasher and laundry only with full loads
    ( saves 1000 gallons of water a month )

I know it is bad, but there is almost no mention of Our Lord or Our Lady on this site. It just makes you want to weep. My grandmother died believing that her homeschooled grandchildren would not be catechized at home as well as in Catholic schools.

I'm sure there are a thousands more stories out there like this, may it strengthen our will to persevere against modernism.

  • That's sad. It's worse than my kid's public school website...
    Matthew 6:34
" Be not therefore solicitous for to morrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof."
