Shortening of days, Our Lady of Fatima and the Period of Peace?

  • Matthew 24:22 "And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened."
Mark 13:20 "And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh should be saved: but, for the sake of the elect which he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days."

To me, this means that the "shortening of the days" refers to the amount of time being reduced; fewer days than would otherwise have occurred; in my opinion, until both the very end of time(“consummation of the world”) and until the Period of Peace promised by Our Lady of Fatima, when the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will take place; very soon, I hope and pray.

In that light, the Period of Peace promised by Our Lady of Fatima, as recorded by Sister Lucia in her memoirs (Third Memoir and especially the Fourth Memoir, written in the early 1940s under obedience to her Bishop), when she recounted that the Blessed Virgin Mary said, "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world," seems, in my opinion, likely to happen soon.

It also seems to me, in my opinion, that something serious is about to happen to Rome (a city reduced to ruins; Apocalypse 18:2–11, understood by the Fathers as a symbolic reference to Rome) just before the Period of Peace occurs. St. Pius X (1903-1914) "I saw one of my successors taking to flight over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in disguise somewhere; and after a short retirement he will die a cruel death."

Again, I hope and pray that the Period of Peace promised by Our Lady of Fatima and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will take place soon.

    What do you all think?

  • in 1925 Our Lady gave Sister Lucy the method for the First Five Saturdays Devotion.

In 1929 Our Lady told her the time had to come for the pope to Consecrate Russia with all the bishops.

In 1931 Jesus stated, "Make it known to My ministers, that given they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My request, that they will follow him into misfortune".  Of course, 100 years later the French Revolution began.

We're moving headlong into that 100 year time frame so it looks like it could be right around the corner.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

  • This is one theory proposed by Fr. John O'Connor+.  I thought it made sense.

"In the end" Our Lady was referring to the end of WWII. She said the Holy Father will consecrate Russie to me.  Pope Pius the XII consecrated the people of Russia without the Bishops.  Therefore a certain Period of Peace will be given to the world after WWII.

We received that certain Period of Peace after WWII and due to the fact that the Pope did not consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in union with all the Bishops, we did not and will not get the true Period of Peace promised by our Lady because the Popes did not obey her commands entirely.

Therefore, now we live in the time of antichrist.  When our Lord returns, He said, "will I find Faith on earth?"

Remember that Our Lady of Fatima told Lucia that the Miracle at Fatima would have been greater if it had not been for the kidnapping of the Children by the Masons causing them to miss one of the days our Lady was to appear.  So, It could be that if certain conditions were not met, we may not get the exact results of the promises we may be expecting.

What God and our Lady expects is for us to work out our salvation the best we can no matter what time we live in.

Yes, and to be specific, the King of France was killed by the revolutionaries 100 years after numerous French kings failed to consecrate France to Our Lady.
Pray for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

  • Actually, it was the King of France who failed to consecrate France to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as requested by Our Lord through St. Margaret Mary Alacoque around 1689. The request was not fulfilled, and one hundred years later, in 1789, France was plunged into the French Revolution, with immense suffering and the execution of the King.

I think that the Antichrist will come after the Period of Peace promised by Our Lady of Fatima has ended. Let us really pray that the Period of Peace and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary take place soon.

  • Because the King of France did not consecrate his country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Catholic monarchy was overtaken and ruled by Masonic forces, the king was beheaded the churches destroyed and Catholics were martyred.
    The temporal realm, the body.

The same punishment has already happened in the spiritual realm, the Catholic Church.  Vatican ll, the French Revolution in the Church. The papacy has been beheaded, the churches have been destroyed and the Masonic sect has implemented the religion of man and propagated throughout the world. The faithful Catholics have been banished from the churches and martyred, if not by blood, by a white martyrdom.
