  • You can watch it in 17 parts on Youtube.

The movie is from 1968, about a JP2-like papacy.

Only problem is -- John Paul II was elected in 1978.

So how did they get so many things dead-on?

Is this another example of the Bad Guys using "projection" where they put themes in movies, etc. to get us ready for what they plan to do?

  • Is this the Anthony Quinn movie?  I read the book in the sixties.  They used it as a big propaganda effort to push the changes after Vatican II.

  • I love that movie.

Makes ya think that they deliberately planted JP2, no?

    Just too many coincidences IMO.

  • Puts me in mind of Thomas Merton.  I'm floored, only on pt.4
     :plant: :plant: :plant: :plant: :plant:

Someone gave me the book ages ago but I couldn't stand to read it.

Isn't this just amazing?  Who does the writer on the plane represent?  Tiellard de Chardin?

  • His name did sound a bit like it.

It could have been any number of Modernists -- though it reminded me of the one who was "exiled" somewhere or other, and was brought back as a peritus (expert) for Vatican II.

I'm really, really bad with names! Someone can fill in the details.

     :furtive:

Or how about the shooting, after which JP2 was taken to the wrong hospital and given tainted blood?  (according to Malachi Martin)

Planted or perhaps implanted?  Might the Parkinson's be a system of something else?

Thomas Merton's story is very disturbing, and he was revealed as a "plant" .  Did Merton commit ѕυιcιdє?

But that movie is a must-see!

  • Merton had and still does have a strong influence as the American Mystic.  He was supposedly a Trappist Monk- wrote some very popular books.  One was The Seven Story Mountain  He was very destructive to the practice of Roman Catholicism.

He was a Bhuddist, and an agent some alphabet group or ?????

Doggone it, Belloc.  Finding out about Merton was a turning point, and now I can't even qualify it.     :fryingpan: :fryingpan: :fryingpan:   <<<-------That's for my head, not yours.

He died of electrocution in a bath in Bangkok or someplace.

Now I'm going to go pray and take some brain supplements. :fryingpan:

    From Wikipedia:

    Quote
Much of the characteristics of Father Telemond were based on the controversial French Jesuit paleontologist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.

  • Yeah, it was Chardin alright.  He kept talking about stuff that sounded like Chardin's "Omega Point" nonsense.

  • Well, you can sue me, but I found the movie Angels and Demons to be very interesting.  I hesitated giving even 10 cents of the 50-cent rental to Hanks and Brown.  Of course Hanks can't help slamming the Church throughout the movie..  What I found very interesting was the revelation of who the actual villain turned out to be and what his true motivation was.

  • I've got two more parts of Shoes to watch.

I would watch Angels and Demons online if I knew it would not be a mortal sin, based on what Lad says.

How is sin avoided in this case?  Thanks.

PS, still no nothing to jog my memory about Merton.  I am thinking it was an interview with Michael Corbin or one of Fr. Gruner's guests, and I remember that the info on Merton caused me to wonder seriously about JP2.  Sorry for making any unfounded accusations.
