With something concrete to discuss, you say something rather childish.
It would be comparatively easy for us to be holy if only we could always see the character of our neighbours either in soft shade or with the kindly deceits of moonlight upon them. Of course, we are not to grow blind to evil

Perhaps, after all, there is some kind of correlation between intelligence and sense of humor...

Interesting you should have one ignore already after only 3 postings on this site. It wasn't me.

Personally, I think "SAGGING Anchovies" have much more value than those old archives. And, I put that very mildly.

An example right here is to examine Bazz's (Fr. C?) responses - incapable of directly addressing anything or sticking to a topic he doesn't like.    Instead, he keeps attacking and changing the subject.  Nothing he says has to make sense, or be pertinent to the topic, or address questions.  While people painstakingly explain every detail of their position, he simply cannot hear or understand it, and so keeps moving around to make it something he CAN understand.  Like a child, if he does not wish to discuss it, he simply closes it off from himself.  And everyone is simply "supposed" to follow along.

Hey ColdFusion, you seem a prophet, just like Eamon, LOL

    Thank you for the welcome!

No prophecy involved - just been there, done that way longer than I should have, except for some truly wonderful people I am so glad to have known.

Once I began to understand the behavior, it was hard to be angry.  It's just pathetic.

How about you, Cristian? When you were in the seminary, did you actual desire to be there, before you were informed that you didn't have a vocation?

Narcissists are (a) extremely sensitive to personal criticism and (b) extremely critical of other people. They think that they must be seen as perfect or superior or infallible, next to god-like (if not actually divine, then sitting on the right hand of God) -- or else they are worthless. There's no middle ground of ordinary normal humanity for narcissists. They can't tolerate the least disagreement. In fact, if you say, "Please don't do that again -- it hurts," narcissists will turn around and do it again harder to prove that they were right the first time; their reasoning seems to be something like "I am a good person and can do no wrong; therefore, I didn't hurt you and you are lying about it now..." -- sorry, folks, I get lost after that. Anyhow, narcissists are habitually cruel in little ways, as well as big ones, because they're paying attention to their fantasy and not to you, but the bruises on you are REAL, not in your imagination. Thus, no matter how gently you suggest that they might do better to change their ways or get some help, they will react in one of two equally horrible ways: they will attack or they will withdraw. Be wary of wandering into this dragon's cave -- narcissists will say ANYTHING, they will trash anyone in their own self-justification, and then they will expect the immediate restoration of the status quo. They will attack you (sometimes physically) and spew a load of bile, insult, abuse, contempt, threats, etc., and then -- well, it's kind of like they had indigestion and the vicious tirade worked like a burp: "There. Now I feel better. Where were we?" They feel better, so they expect you to feel better, too.

Well Bazz you seem to know a lot about me and about MHT, please share your knowledge with us!

Except for one thing... I was never told I had no vocation, and whoever told you that, he simply lied to you. Actually I was told by Fr. Cekada himself (that is Bazz?) that I had a vocation.

Oh poor Father Cekada! if he would just know what the faculty members think about him there... if he would just know WHAT I WAS TOLD there...

    Anyway, I insist:

The author of that has the subject nailed down perfectly.

The only minor difficulty I have with it is that it appears to be related to intimate personal relationships. The type of dynamic  that should not be the case with priests in 90% of his relationships in the first place.

Or am I off track because it is all different in the seminary?
