While the popes since vatican II have been heretical and the council itself as well, what substantiates this position?
Sources?
Thanks
I don't really focus on the personal heresy of popes.
I see that the Conciliar Church is not the Catholic Church and represents a substantial change / alteration from the Catholic Church both in its doctrine (especially ecclesiology and soteriology), its public worship (the Mass), and its cultus (the bogus NO canonizations) ... basically in everything that defines it as a religion. St. Pius V or St. Pius X, if timewarped to today, would not recognize the Conciliar Church as the Catholic Church but would think it's some Protestant sect, an indication of the fact that this "Church" lacks the marks or notes of the One True Church founded by Christ.
It is not possible for legitimate popes freely exercising their authority to have promulgated such changes to the Universal Church, as the papacy is protected by the Holy Spirit.
With that, there are possible explanations for how this could have happened ...
1) V2 papal claimants were not legitimately elected (Siri Theory, etc.)
2) V2 papal claimants are manifest heretics and deprived of office on those grounds (or never held office)
3) V2 papal claimants have been blackmailed and not acting freely but under duress (making their acts null and void)
4) V2 papal claimants have been drugged and/or replaced by doubles
Any of these could explain what's happened. I've listed these in order of plausibility, as I see it from most likely to least likely, but can't definitely rule any of them out.
Archbishop Lefebvre also in a speech confirmed the "Major", i.e. that this cannot happen due to the protection over the papacy by the Holy Spirit, and then went through reasons 1-4 as possible explanations, being unable to decide which one was true for certain, but leaning toward a combination of #2/#1 as the most plausible.
