  • Definitely erratic, to say the least.

  • The synopsis of that book reads like (yet another) sedevacantist hit piece. As if we were extremists to be completely avoided like the Westboro Baptist Church or the Branch Davidians, note the association made to the Palmarians and their "canonizations" of Hitler and Franco (Franco did very little wrong, but he wasn't a saint).

I'll admit the potential for doubt regarding the mental state of Archbishop Thuc if we can also admit doubt regarding the consecrations offered by Bishop Mendez, given he was within the Novus Ordo religion at that point. Neither of which I believe are doubtful, personally.
"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]

  • "Also relevant is Thuc’s confused mental state, as evidenced by his public concelebration of the New Mass with the local Novus Ordo bishop of the diocese of Toulon, just one month before these consecrations in 1981. Also, the lack of conviction can be seen in the fact that twice he consecrated bishops illicitly and twice he requested absolution from the canonical punishment of excommunication. These frequent changes indicate that he was a man who, to say the least, lacked conviction about what he was doing."

Thuc also consecrated Bishop Adolfo Zamora however, he only acted as a co-consecrator and was never a principal consecrator of any bishops.
