"I think that the hierarchy doesn't know as much about those things as they do about their theology."

It doesn't really surprise me. AMU is situated in a diocese(Venice) that, like all others in Florida, is an absolute neo-modernist hell hole. I know the south Florida area and culture well, and it is very much driven by money and materialism. Southwest Florida can be summed up as nouveau riche, neo-conservative, culturally lax, superficial, and beach culture driven. The planners of AMU were real stupid to put the school in this area.

actually, apparently not-they get a lot of Neocons in todays AmChurch.......no doubt a lot of bumper stickers in the area "supporting the troops" and flag ribbons iwth "God Bless America" on it
My thoughts-God blesses nations that obey him, we do not.
Troops need support by coming home ASAP and not engaging in nation building/world police duties....

Over at FE and AQ its obvious than many are Libertarians, which I believe can degenerate into libertinism (just look at FE). Its an ideology that can be dangerous even in its right-libertarian form (after all, they still want to legalize drugs, porn, bad "free speech," and other illicit behavior). I can understand why some support it given the NWO tactics we see today. I know that many Trads did support Ron Paul in 2008 (as did I), but such support can only go so far. Libertarianism's epistemology and origin is in the "Glorious," French, and American revolutions and is based on Lockean thought. Now some of these revolutionaries did not support the French revolution(Edmund Burke). While Burke did say some good things throughout his life, he was a right-revolutionary which today shares much in common with paleo-libertarianism (Lord Acton, Rockwell, Woods, Paul, Rothbard).

Follow the money, Mr. Simon.
