Looked at Tradition in action's site, as is typical of them, they make accusations Savonarola was "heretical" with no proof, same shoddy research and writing they save for Distributism..and if same researchers, equally as errant....(not , Eric Gill did not setup, invent,e tc Distributism-largely was in full swing by his joining Ditchling efforts)....
so, no proof yet....
Looking up what said on TIA about Savonarola, it is true that his reform did have some democratic overtones. However, they should read what Savonarola said on this topic himself or at least what others have stated of Savonarola's position on monarchy/republic/democracy. Savonarola, despite his republic, clearly favors monarchy as the ideal form of government.
