The allegation that admissions under torture are not very reliable is false. I would suggest reading Isabella Of Spain by Walsh.

Looked at Tradition in action's site, as is typical of them, they make accusations Savonarola was "heretical" with no proof, same shoddy research and writing they save for Distributism..and if same researchers, equally as errant....(not , Eric Gill did not setup, invent,e tc Distributism-largely was in full swing by his joining Ditchling efforts)....

so, no proof yet....

Looking up what said on TIA about Savonarola, it is true that his reform did have some democratic overtones. However, they should read what Savonarola said on this topic himself or at least what others have stated of Savonarola's position on monarchy/republic/democracy. Savonarola, despite his republic, clearly favors monarchy as the ideal form of government.

The sources for Savanarola as an admitted heretic who was strangled first are M Bedoyere, von Pastor and Fr Parsons.

When the Judaic Yuce Franco was tortured to get him to reveal the location of the corpse of the martyred Holy Child of la Guardia( St Christopher), he revealed where the body was. Sure as Shinola, the body was there so the torture did not result in a false cofession.

So, you base your attacks on Savonarola from heretical sources? that is telling.....just like some Prots try to claim Augustine as a Proto-Calvinist.......should we then base our views on them?
