  • He doesn't. It's just an opinion. That's kind of how the cult of saints start out, with an opinion of someone being in heaven.
His stating "Savonarola is among the just in Paradise," is not an opinion.  He is stating, matter-of-factly where he has no authority to do so.

It doesn't sound like a proclamation of authority at all, because he has none. Just an opinion, which could be wrong.
"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]

  • Despite the controversy in this thread, I find his writings in the OP very profound. I will benefit from pondering and meditating upon its application to our crisis in the Church today.
    Thank you DL! 👍

  • Is this the same person who was excommunicated by the Church and burned for his heresies?

    Excerpt from http://judaism.is/new-order-of-pharisees.html :

    Quote
The diabolical infiltration of the Church accelerated covertly in the 14th century Renaissance—truly a “Renaissance” or “Rebirth” of Babylonian, Egyptian, Roman and Grecian Paganism, Occultism, Kabbalism, the theurgy of “Hermes Trismegistus.” Change agents like Pico Mirandolla, Johannes Reuchlin, Marsilio Ficino, Niccolò Machiavelli, and others attempted to baptize Kabbalism and other paganism as compatible with Christianity. Opponents were marginalized, even excommunicated by the infamously promiscuous and Judaizing “Borgia Pope” Alexander VI. He hanged, burned and scattered the ashes of that faithful, moral, and zealous Italian Dominican Friar Girolamo Savonarola (burned 1498 A.D.). This rebirth of paganism was covertly nurtured under the protection and funding of the Medici usurers and other Judaizing Popes such as Pope Leo X. Leo X’s pontificate straddled the 15th and 16th centuries. That second son of the Florentine ruler “Lorenzo the Magnificent” was the Medici publisher of the most decorative тαℓмυd ever. Such covert infiltration grew and so thoroughly processed the hierarchy and the laity that, five centuries later, the overt ʝʊdɛօ-Luciferian revolution in the Church, the illegitimate “Second Vatican Council,” was little resisted by the mostly stunned and falsely obedient bishops, priests, laity.

    Mark79, excellent quote.

An even more excellent historical study is Michael Hoffman's The Occult Renaissance Church of Rome,

A related study would be regarding usury and the usurers inroads into the papacy and the hierarchy, which Hoffman docuмents in another excellent work, Usury in Christendom. This is just historical and docuмented fact. It has made me somewhat jaundiced about claims of a surface "infallibility" and "indefectibility" covering these same popes and their crony bishops who fathered the "rebirth of paganism" in the church. Think about that: the rebirth of paganism.

Open eyes fill with tears, unfortunately. But also open to the truth, which as Our Lord said, sets us free (as He is the ultimate end of all truth).

Unfortunately, as the quote indicates, the fruit of this is Vatican II.

Of course, if anyone is inclined to purchase the Hoffman works, I think Matthew has a link somewhere on the site where the site (Matthew) benefits if you purchase from Amazon - I used to see it all the time here.
Rom. 3:25 Whom God hath proposed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to the shewing of his justice, for the remission of former sins"

Apoc 17:17 For God hath given into their hearts to do that which pleaseth him: that they give their kingdom to the beast, till the words of God be fulfilled.
