Rome, Italy, Mar 3, 2010 / 04:20 pm (CNA).- A renowned exorcist in Rome recently released a book of memoirs in which he declares to know of the existence of Satanic sects in the Vatican where participation reaches all the way to the College of Cardinals. A second demonologist, also residing in Rome, entered the debate this week, clarifying the origins of the information and defending the Vatican's clergy as an "edifying and virtuous" collection of prelates.

In a book of memoirs released in February, the noted Italian exorcist Fr. Gabriele Amorth affirmed that "Yes, also in the Vatican there are members of Satanic sects." When asked if members of the clergy are involved or if this is within the lay community, he responded, "There are priests, monsignors and also cardinals!"

The book, "Father Amorth. Memoirs of an Exorcist. My life fighting against Satan." was written by Marco Tosatti, who compiled it from interviews with the priest.

Fr. Amorth was asked by Tosatti how he knows Vatican clergy are involved. He answered, "I know from those who have been able to relate it to me because they had a way of knowing directly. And it's something 'confessed' most times by the very demon under obedience during the exorcisms."

The famous Italian exorcist was also asked if the Pope was aware of Satanic sects in the Vatican, to which Fr. Amorth replied, "Of course, he was informed. But he does what he can. It's a horrifying thing."

Benedict XVI, being German, comes from a place "decidedly averse to these things," argued Fr. Amorth, saying that in Germany "there practically aren't any exorcists." However, he clarified, "the Pope believes (in them)."

The Italian priest also warned of the existence of bishops and priests who do not believe in Satan in the interview.  "And yet, in the Gospel, Jesus speaks extensively about it, so it should be said, either they've never read the Gospel or they just don't believe it!"
    ...

Then they trot out some priest to "debunk" these claims (using very lame arguments IMO).

Referring to the Vatican's clergy as "edifying and virtuous" IMMEDIATELY discredits this guy.  It would be one thing to argue that they're not overt Satanists, but to call them "edifying"  :barf:

  • The Vatican is the most sought-after goal a satanist could obtain.

JP2's men ran off the 300 exorcists who had had an appointment to meet at St. Peter's - hmmm.  (from 30 Days article)

  • Amorth is part of the Hegelian dialectic here, like Malachi Martin.  This is just sensationalizing.  The Vatican hierarchy are heretics.  Whether they are possessed by demons or not -- and they surely are -- who cares?

But look at how Amorth stops short of saying that the diabolism has reached the "Pope."  Malachi Martin did the same thing.  The "Pope" is always the good guy trying to fight the rising tide of the occult... Blech.  All this is intended to give people hope in some kind of turnaround and keep them attached to the heretics.

If Ratzinger's face isn't the very picture of someone possessed, I don't know what is.  Some of the pictures he takes are terrifying.
Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • "Edifying and virtuous"...well maybe to someone.

I remember when I found out about a certain cardinal in the USA being a satanist.  I will never be able to describe what that did to me - it's like being spiritually raped.  I was never the same after that.  The very idea that there could be someone who is a "Prince of the Church" involved in the very opposite of what he is supposed to be, was too much for me to bear.

As for exorcists, I really wish they would all get on the same page as they contradict each other.  One says there is no difference between the old and new exorcism rites, another says there is; one says the old and new blessings for holy water differ not, another says they do.  I don't care for this Amorth and am suspect of him.  As well as another priest here in the USA that is one - kind of cagey for an exorcist.

Sometimes he looks fairly nice, but, yes, he's taken some really creepy pictures.

And here we have the double "el diablo" hand signs:

  • St. Dymphna, make haste to help me!

Sometimes I really feel that I'm about to lose it.  Are these picture poses just a coincidence, or are they purposeful?  That last one is the worst.

Oh, it's hard to say.  I'm sure that over the years, hundreds of thousands of pictures have been taken of him.  It would be impossible for there not to be SOME bad ones (every one of which the sedevacantists are sure to ferret out for us).

That must be one of the hardest and worst parts of being pope, trying not to inadvertantly do something or appear in some way that's unbecoming to the dignity of the Holy See.  Imagine if he got caught picking his nose.

  • Without mentioning any names, lest I incur the wrath of not a few here, if anyone gets the Catholic Family News, please turn to page 5 of the March edition and look at the picture on the bottom half of the page.  Notice the hand gestures?
