  • I received a newsletter from a N.O. group and in it was a picture of "Blessed" John XIII. I do not remember where I read it, but the doctor who was called in to embalm him right there in his bed chambers, swore a docuмent to the fact that he had performed this service of embalming to John XXIII. So, he is not an incorruptible.
Next, we have John Paul II. Again, the EWTN new coverage was awestruck while they watched his body they claimed was not decaying. They admitted that he had a "light embalming" to help in the heat of Rome. DUH Liars, then they are not tru incorruptibles. It is another lie to make the sheeple believe the robber barons of the Church.
Do any of you have any ideas on this? Oh, in the same light. What was that nonsense that BXVI came out with about Saints in Heaven were not perfect. You must achieve perfection to see the Beatific Vision either due to a very holy life or in purgatory. What the heck is that lie about?

  • John Paul II did start decaying when he was being exposed to public viewing. I always saw that as a sign of his decaying papacy.

  • Here's an article written when JPII died in April 2005 - it talks about how his body showed signs of decay.

    Pope's body 'lightly embalmed'

Meanwhile, a Rome embalmer said on Friday that Pope John Paul II's body probably was lightly embalmed before being exposed for public viewing for four days before his funeral and burial.

Massimo Signoracci, whose family embalmed three previous popes but was not involved in John Paul's preparations, said some kind of treatment had to be done to allow the body to be on display on an open platform inside St Peter's Basilica.

"For a four-day viewing, injections of formaldehyde and other preserving liquids are necessary," Signoracci said, cautioning that he could not be certain what had been done without examining the body.

The Vatican has said John Paul's body was not embalmed, only "prepared" for viewing by hundreds of thousands of mourners, refusing to elaborate on the procedure used.

Experts who have seen the body reported seeing dark stains under the pope's chin and on his hands.

"It's not clear from TV coverage, but I've been told that the body is showing the first signs of decay," Signoracci said.

John Paul died Saturday night, and his remains were put on public view two days later, until Thursday.

Maria Campos Guereta, a 29-year-old banker from Jerez, Spain, was among the last mourners to file past the body on
    Thursday.

"Truth be told, he looked really haggard," she said.

  • The day Pope John Paul II died my car odometer passed 66666.  Not long after on the way home from the gym, the same day, the trip odometer passed 666 (which I just happened to look down and notice)

I was not yet a traditionalist at that time, and was worried that the new Pope would be a "liberal," so I was quite upset about his death, and relieved at the Ratzinger's election.

Pretty much the same with me. Funny how just a little less than eight years ago I was also relieved at Ratzinger's election.

Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Is anyone saying he w as incorruptible?
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

It is commonly claimed that John XXIII is incorruptible.

So...I'm not the only one who ran out and bought the Cardinal Ratzinger Fanclub coffee mug to use at the office.
