    • The main error of this devotion is that it represents a misplaced, and  "unconditional mercy", (at the expense of God's justice), which perfectly fits with the over-sentimentalized and disorganized society the heresy of Modernism has created and engulfed us all. The sentiment of course, is not born out of true Christian mercy, or charity, but a hideous camouflage for tolerance of all kind of error, immorality, and sin.

    I don't see why they should be opposed. It is from the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus that we recieve Divine Mercy.

    • Personally, I am devoted to both. One doesn't eliminate the other.

    Everyone is free to choose his / her devotions, as long as they lead to Heaven.

    The best way to start the month of June, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, is confession and Holy Communion.
