There are 2 and poss 3 that I think may be declared anti-popes at some point. Boniface, Urban VI( see Bad Popes by Chamberlain) and Benedict. Apparently Benedict is the first pope to let words come out of the Vatican that the Holy See just might not object to  a Judaix homeland in Palestine. Pius X would not countenance that for a moment.

At one time I thought that Benedicts closing of the Sodalatium Pianum could be used as evidence of anti-pope also but I do not think that now. The real prob is that there is something very strange about his election( he was The Most junior cardinal in the conclave). See Papal Chamberlain by McNutt.

The pope not objecting to a Jєωιѕн homeland in Palestine is heresy?  O come on!  It isn't even a religious question.  If Bishop Williamson can proclaim utter nonsense about a matter of secular history and have people here defend him for it, it is incomprehensible that the same people would attack a POPE for uttering an opinion on a matter of secular politics as a heretic.

I don't object to a Jєωιѕн homeland in Palestine either.  Does this political opinion make me a heretic as well?

Be careful Sigismund, roscoe will label you as a "Jansenist" for disagreeing with him! I think that weed has gone to his head.

     :fryingpan:

That would be a first.  No one has ever called me a Jansenist before, although in college a drunk frat-boy once called me "Jan".

  • GV,

MY grandchildren are pulling in my driveway.  I expect you won't fault me for choosing them over you.    :smirk: I will post a more complete response later.

The nonsense that the h0Ɩ0cαųst is pretty much fiction.  The nonsense that 9?11 was some sort of inside job.

Both of these are supported by the facts, so neither qualifies as nonsense.  I understand that you disagree, but the facts in both cases support BW's positions, not your own.

FWIW, the evidence is overwhelming that the official story for 9/11 is bogus.  Have you ever investigated the matter, or do you just take the govt's and the MSM's word for it?

My position is political.  It is politically their country.

This is pure evasion, Sigi, as we are speaking about the justification for the creation of the modern political entity known as Israel -- not whether or not there IS such a political entity.

What about people who believe Benedict is an anti-pope but also don't believe there is a Pope at all and therefore believe the Chair of Peter is literally empty? They wouldn't be considered sedes either?

  • Stop smoking that pot and maybe you'll be able to understand my posts, roscoe.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.
