Before I knew the details, I used to be in awe of the "fact" that Our Lady revealed to Sister Lucia that there would be a worse war than WW1 under a pope named Pius XI. Wow. Amazing. She even identified the name of the pope who would be regnant, a then non-existent pope.

Then I learned that Sister Lucia indicated this was prophesied years after the events happened. Not so "wow "   :(

I don't totally discount Fatima, but this actual fact rather clouds the whole phenomenon for me.
What is the source for you allegation that the prophecy of WW2 and Pope Pius XI was made AFTER the events?
All books I've read on Fatima are clear that these prophecies were made PRIOR.

Yes, that's one of the hallmarks of the Modernists, the attempt to "rationalize" various miracles.  Oh, when Moses parted the Red Sea, well, that was just some low-tide phenomenon in a large marsh.  When the plagues hit Egypt, there are natural explanations for those things.  So to dismiss a miracle simply because there may be no rational explanation, that's classic Modernism.

Also, backing away from something because it may be perceived negatively by non-Catholics ... who would distort it and set up a straw man, that too is Modernist.

I said in my last post I am out of here because when debate turns into insults against a person then it ceases to be a debate. That said, little did I think insults could get worse, so much so that I cannot let such a personal attack on a catholic forum go by without reply.

Here above Ladislaus infers I come under the category of one who questions the revelations of the Holy Bible. Can you Mr Ladislaus show contributers one such modernist opinion I have ever given on CIF?

That said, the same Holy Bible does tell us that Satan is capable of fooling mankind with wonders, false signs and prodigies. Go Google Archbishop Francis Patrick Kenrick who quoted 2 Thessalonians in his Acts of the Apostles the Epistles of St Paul, the Catholic Epistles and the Apocalypse. The Archbishop explains: ' The wonders which Antichrist with his agents will perform will be illusionary. Her will display all power. but nothing real, all things only for deception.' Saint John Chrysostom
Here then God tells us to be careful and examine such wonders. Well some did. All apparitions began with a flash of light and the sound of bees buzzing, hardly a sign from heaven.

I will end there as further details like the vison ending the 15 Saturday devotions with one of 5; an angel giving communion to the children when St Thomas aquinas said only a priest can give Holy Communion; and the Lady allowing the children to break the 5th commandment by not doing what their parents told them to do seems to be of no consequence in this message from heaven for most. I will leave you Ladislaus to explain all these problems.

Fatima has already happened. Both world wars, 1918 Spanish Flu, the Ukrainian genocide, the apostasy of Vatican II, feminism, sodomy, Marxist principles ubiquitous in the U.S. and around the world, foreign invaders of formerly Catholic and "Christian" host nations, etc.

People really need to get off of Fatima. It's done. Worry about your own soul's consecration to Our Lady. Every day we must work out our salvation.
Yes.  We must make reparations for our sins.      Our focus should be on God.
