Retracting Support From MHFM

  • I want to retract previous support from MHFM, particuarly in regard to receiving sacraments from "undeclared" heretics. No, that is heretical and I was wrong. May God have mercy on my soul for those who actually fell for the despicable advice of the Dimonds.

If you KNOW 100% your priest is a heretic, which unfortunately includes almost every "traditional" priest in the world right now, the church teaches you are required to avoid him. Declared or not. Its just that simple. To do otherwise is an implicit denial of the faith.

Unfortuantely almost all priests in the world are heretics and off limits. Their heresies include:

    -NFP
-Accepting Benedict XVI as a catholic and therefore a pope in spite of the evidence of his horrible apostasies
-Accepting Benedict XVI as a pope and then operating independently of him and his bishops, making a mockery of the papacy (i.e. SSPX)
-Worst of all, believing in "BOD" and "Invincible Ignorance" that extends to people who reject Our Lord Jesus Christ

    I pray for your conversions.

  • Well, it's good (though incredibly shocking) that you withdraw your support of the Dimond Brothers, but you really should have stopped right there. It isn't a very good idea to condemn people for accepting BOD (which was actually taught by many Saints, including the Catechism of the Concil of Trent) and accepting Benedict as Pope. You seem to be implying that people who accept Benedict as Pope cannot be saved, and I disagree with that.

Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • So, you're more extreme than the Dimond bros?  That's not exactly something to be proud of, mate.

And you couldn't have stepped over the line more clearly if you tried. Saying "most traditional priests are heretics" and "I pray for your conversions", referring to the entire CathInfo membership, was about as blatant as it gets.

We'll be praying for YOUR conversion, you poor soul.

  • Goodbye, CC.

Drop us a line when your pendulum swings back the other way.

I'll pray for your peace of soul.

I think you just sealed your own fate.

Were you referring to his impending banishment from CathInfo or actually implying that his immortal soul is in danger? If it is the latter, let's hope that it really isn't that serious.

Hopefully this is just limited to the Internet and he doesn't actually act like he does online.

Another classic example of the Garrigou-Lagrange's description of beginners who fancy themselves to be masters of the spiritual life before taking a fall and (hopefully) entering into the next conversion....

  • I think Matthew was refering to cc23's membership, not his salvation. But with extreme views like that, I do worry about him.

He was a nice guy, but like I said, he should have made his retraction and then stopped. Instead he goes on to say that most Traditional priests are heretics and that people who accept BOD and/or aren't sede can't be saved, then says he will pray for our "conversion". Pure insanity. He may have retracted his pro-MHFM stance, but his views sure didn't change. Again, nice guy, but needs prayers.

Yeah,Curious, you say you denounce the Diamonds, and then spout their heresies! :heretic:

The Diamonds have softened on their stand.  They used to tell all of their followers that all priests are heretics.  Now they say their followers can attend masses of sede priest and also SSPX priests.

  • Doggone, I thumbed him up, but I misunderstood him. This guy is probably end up as a follower of Richard Ibranyi.

  • And I should add that guys like Richard Ibranyi are enough to make one choose to be "non-practicing believer" rather than "Catholic" (assuming one considers Ibranyi to be a typical Catholic)

Seriously -- I want no part of Richard Ibranyi and the positions he has taken. If he is an ideal Catholic, then I need to look elsewhere for the truth.

Fortunately for me, he is NOT an ideal Catholic, but a very proud and misguided one. He is mired in countless grave errors, which actually affect one's day-to-day life as a Catholic.
