  • ‘Traditional’ Parish

    Subject: ‘Traditional’ Parish in Detroit

There are 2 very old Polish churches, and 1 very old German church, in Detroit, that had clustered into one "parish".

This "parish" is by far the most "traditional" in the Archdiocese of Detroit.     They have "Tridentine Masses" there, choirs who perform classical and "Traditional" music, etc.

I was under the impression that people who would attend such a parish -- even though part of the heretical Vatican II sect -- would probably still tend to be of a more "conservative" bent, rejecting ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ "marriage", etc.

I was wrong.   Browsing their facebook page, I could not believe some of the comments left there.    A number of the parishioners openly advocate all kinds of wild heresies and evils (e.g. total separation of Church and State, errors about marriage and matrimony, and even open support for "gαy marriage", along with mocking those who oppose it as being "homophobic.")

So, it now appears that even some in the "conservative" and "traditional" wing of the Vatican II sect are openly embracing ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ "marriage", as well as countless other similar evils.

With each passing day, it seems that the entire Vatican II sect becomes more heretical, more apostate, and more evil.

As awful and evil as it is, it's truly amazing.

This really is the Whore of Babylon, right before our very eyes.

    Sincerely,

    Dave

  • I have a couple of questions about this topic.

First, why was this sent to the Dimond Brothers?  Are they involved in some way?

Second, why are you so vague as to the parishes being described?  What is this "traditional" parish in which its facebook page is described?  What is the link to its facebook page?  This is publicly available online so it is not detraction to point it out.

Before I join in the Conciliar bashing party over this particular topic I want to see what it is I would be bashing.

  • Perhaps it is this;

    Mother of Divine Mercy Parish

    This is their Facebook page:

Mother of Divine Mercy Parish Facebook Page

While I don't personally believe this arrangement is beneficial to traditional Catholics, I am not seeing where the individuals are out right declaring heresy.

  • Thanks CathMomof7.  This is apparently the group of parishes the OP mentioned.

The OP didn't say anything about "outright heresy" on the Facebook page.  He spoke of open support of the evil of "gαy marriage".  One can be guilty of the objectively mortal sin of publicly advocating evil without losing membership in the Church through heresy.  The two are not necessarily connected.

I skimmed over some of the comments but I didn't really see what the OP was referencing.  I don't have time to parse each comment so I'll wait until the OP specifically points out the offending comments--as well as demonstrate that those comments come from parishioners and not from the general public.  I don't know enough about facebook to know how to tell that the comments come from parishioners.

I'd still like to know what MHFM has to do with this.

TKGS I was going through the E-Exchanges Section of the MHFM website when I came across this letter written by a certain person called Dave to the MHFM. I'm sorry I did not check Facebook to see if what he was saying was true. Obviously the Dimond brothers OSB did not check Facebook either.

  • This is a "bi-ritual" church where it looks like the majority of "Masses" are Novus Ordo. It's quite probable that the person in charge of the Facebook page is a Novus Ordo attendee.
