  • I was reading about the death of the anti-Pope Pius XIII and I stumbled across this obituary.  In the comments there, I found this:

"Also, I wish Br Vito the best in his vocation. But I stopped reading his blog when he posted about celebrating EID and fasting along with the Mohammedans during their "holy month" of ramadan. Once again, I have to ask myself how the early church would have dealt with such sacrilege and heresy, and if this indeed does mock all the Christian martyrs who have died at the hands of the Mohammedan over the centuries."

Further down someone commented on this:

"I think you're super awesome, Brother Vito, and I think that fasting along-side our brothers who are Muslims, is just what Francis would have done."

Are these people completely insane?!  This is what St Francis said to the muslims:

"If you do not wish to believe we will commend your soul to God because we declare that if you die while holding to your law you will be lost; God will not accept your soul. For this reason we have come to you."

Here is the blog of the disgusting "friar" that did the fast - it is aptly called Stumbling After Francis.  I would go so far as to say that the man is stumbling so far behind St Francis that he is nowhere in sight!

Oh - and in defense of his behaviour the friar said that he wrote to his provincial minister to ask what he thought of practicing ramadan and the provincial replied:

"Sometimes today's heretics, dissenters and unorthodox are tomorrow's teachers of the Church's theology: just ask Yves Congar and John Courtney Murray...among many, many others."

To which he commented: "If calling me a "heretic" puts me in league with such great theologians as these...I humbly accept your insult."

These people are truly deluded and clearly not Catholic in any way.  Forget investigating the nuns - get an inquisition into the Franciscans!

  •  When did Pulvermacher die? Are you sure it wasn't the obituary for his brother, an SSPX priest?
Please link me to any info about his death, thanks.
