In The Name of The Father, & The Son, & The Holy Ghost. One God. Amen.
I have been a "lurker" in this forum for quite a while. I have read a great deal of posts from many users that I benefitted greatly from; I pray that God abundantly reward all sincere Catholics for their passionate fight for the true faith.
A little about me: I am a Catholic Catechumen of Levantine-Turkish descent. I have been in the process of learning about the Church for two years now. I am in the process of conversion with a priest from the SSPX. I greatly admire and love Abp. Lefebvre and his society for were it not for the SSPX, I would have been unlikely to have considered Catholicism. My religious journey has been quite long and arduous with many a great difficulties along the way. I won't go into too much detail, but suffice it to say that it has been a very tiring experience.
With that bit of introduction, I hope to provide my humble perspective on a few things I've noticed along the way.
I personally see the crisis in the Church as a very complex, unprecedented, and unique phenomenon. I don't believe the solution to this problem is clear. But I do very much respect and admire all who have taken steps to remedy the situation in their own ways.
I believe that many in our time have become hard of heart and have lost the virtue of charity especially when dealing with those of differing viewpoints. It is necessary, in my view, to be open and charitable to others of differing views who are doing their best to make sense of something that is injuriously complex and difficult to bear for all pious Christians.
Sedevacantists, R&R's, and others need to have the virtues of patience, charity, and compassion to understand each other's views as to be able to properly assess our current situation in the most logical way possible. Only by having a unified body of believers can the Church move on to heal from the past 60 or so years of apostasy, heresy, and self destruction.
I hope my humble view does not come across as condescending or superficial. I pray that this crisis is solved as soon as possible and the Church is restored to her former glory. Amen.
