What a dear little lady! That article from Eureka Street was extremely interesting, Incredulous. A little bit of history of which I was unaware. Eureka Street is a publication of the Australian Jesuits.
Interesting to me also the mention of the Grail. I have been wondering for quite a while about the role of the Grail in the lay apostolate.
Glad you liked the article Nadir,
But, I think she was a very sophisticated infiltrator.
Modern Catholic thought, is that the Church should not endorse lay Catholic action groups.
This is very convenient for our enemies. So, besides her Vatican II lay preparation work, I see her playing the role of opposing the Australian lay Catholic action group against communism.
To put this into context, consider Action Française, the lay, ultra conservative anti commie group that became strong after WWI.
Bp. Williamson lectures that it was wrongly suppressed by Pope Pius XI, in 1926.
He was surrounded by freemasons and they purposefully misled him.
(Pius XI also tragically failed to support for the Mexican Catholic Cristeros)
If Action Française had not been suppressed, the commies would have had a much tougher time making inroads into Europe than they did.
My comment "dear little lady" was tongue-in-cheek, Incred, tho doesn't she look the part! A great image, as you will appreciate with your love of images. Every picture tell a story, eh?
The late Bartholomew Augustine Santamaria, usually known as B. A. Santamaria (1915 – 1998), was a great Australian and a great Catholic anti-Communist political activist and journalist. May he rest in peace.
