  • Has anyone read this interview?

It has been reported by Mr. Brian hαɾɾιson that Sinagoglio did indeed say this: "The damned will be annihilated."

So Hell isn't eternal anymore, and if I'm not mistaken this was a heresy from the early centuries, the eventual annihilation of the damned.

  • I am curious about this too!

The concept of being annihilated is a Jєωιѕн belief.  In Judaism the punishment is that a sinner who is damned gets his moment in the presence of God and all his failures are made known to him and then it's lights out.  See Ramchal's "Derech HaShem" for a reference, if you're into that kinda thing.

  • In trying to find some sources for a direct quote, there are few that appear in the search results.  Rorate Caeli seems to be down, but there's good information on Eponymous Flower:Bergoliata or Scalfariade -- Scalfari's New Editorial With Pope Francis' Pearls

  • Code for a veiled threat regarding the weapons of mass destruction anticipated to be used?
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

Nothing surprising. Perhaps the goal here is to water down the Catholic timeless dogma of Hell and replace it with a ʝʊdɛօ-masonic belief of "soul annihilation" after life so that the "worst" that can happen after a dissipated and sinful life is just disappearing for eternity (most soulless people in this damned world nowadays would  just love to hear that! it is a convenient excuse to live and party hard while you can without caring much about after life punishments). The Jehovah Witnesses also teach this same thing, which reduces the punishment for sin to a mere end of existence at the moment of death, but which of course, runs contrary to the Catholic doctrine of Hell and purgatory debt for actual sins and the different levels of those.
If anyone says that true and natural water is not necessary for baptism and thus twists into some metaphor the words of our Lord Jesus Christ" Unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Spirit" (Jn 3:5) let him be anathema.

  • When does such a man, who repeatedly denies the Sacred doctrines of the Church, become a heretic?

  • No doubt that eternal suffering is incompatible with Bergoglio's vision of a "merciful" God.

Not to hijack this thread, but I think it depends on the Jєωιѕн source. Their filthy, blasphemous Babylonian тαℓмυd, which they hold in high regard, says, "Jesus is boiling in excrement in hell."
Blessed be the Lord my God, who teacheth my hands to fight, and my fingers to war. ~ Psalms 143:1 (Douay-Rheims)
