Even if he got a few things wrong, he certainly found a lot of crap in religious art that SHOULD NOT BE THERE and it's certainly possible that (sinful) human beings could "get a few digs in" by putting such things in their paintings.
After all, an artist gets paid to create a painting -- but if that artist doesn't like the Church, he will put in things the Church would hate, but they don't know about.
The scary thing is that the subconscious DOES take everything in.

Well, I haven't watched all of it. Some of it is probably legit. Some of it is clearly fevered imaginations.
This guy and his movie have an agenda of trashing Catholic art. Don't get me wrong, there's undoubtedly esoteric stuff in art, and a lot of the post-Vatican II stuff is overtly evil. However, with symbolism one needs to be careful. It's easy to see things that aren't there, and its easy to plant false trails and theories.
Conspiracism is an important field, but one of the main reasons conspiracists are heaped with ridicule is that it's easy to be taken in by misinformation. I am someone with a "conspiratorial" view of history, but people like this guy are up to no good.
If you want to see something (not by a Catholic, and the narrator is very annoying, but nevertheless the video is very informative) interesting about Hollywood movies, watch this:
