  That reminds me of what my father used to say when someone would refer to Wojtyla as "Holy Father":  "He is neither Holy nor a Father." (said with a thick Hungarian accent and a scowl on his face) 

... although, in Wojtyla's case, he was a valid priest and bishop.  But it was funny anyway, and applies perfectly to Bergoglio.  Ratzinger was at least a priest.  I think he meant in the sense of a "father who takes care of his children".
