    Someone made the interesting point that the SVs just need a Pope to rectify the situation whereas the R & R's have their Pope and this is how bad it is with one.

    He went on to mention how following the "popes" when they are right and ignoring or contradicting them when they are wrong is no different than a Protestant minister.  He said you may as well just follow me when I'm right.

    Ultamately he said that if Popes can do everything that conciliar Popes do, approve, promulgate and maintain there really is no reason to have one.  This is a point that I have tried to get across.
