In the interest of completeness, Scipio, no I am not indifferent as to the NO and TLM. As Pope Benedict said as Cardinal, the NO is a banal on the spot product. The TLM as was said in 1962 is our patrimony and a gift from our forebears and I attend it whenever possible.

What you have to look out for are Neo-Trads who claim to prefer the TLM, but who would like to introduce all sorts of novelty into it. For instance some Neo-Trads support the NO innovators in wanting to introduce communion under both kinds, detached altars, and other sorts of novelty or antiquarianism into the Latin Mass. It is this exact same spirit that lead the revolution. Pius XII condemned it in Mediator Dei. It shows a real naiveté to suggest these transformations to the Mass of All Time when we have seen their disastrous effects in the Pauline Mass. Again, they are the 5th column.

So no, I would not meet your definition of pseudo-trad. But you might want to consider whether one who refrains from fraternally correcting a site owner due to fear of being banned is a pseudo-trad? You know, one who puts human respect over respect for God and His laws? Think about it.

They've gone mad. I haven't read that forum lately, and only perused the link that you posted but someone was calling for banning the use of language like "R oman Protestant" and "New Church" which is an affront to Catholic Tradition.

And this absurd notion of "TradOut" is absolutely laughable. If you were raised in the New Religion and find Catholic Tradition, thus abandoning the pernicious errors and Modernist ambiguities of the Novus Ordo cult of man and adopting real, solid Catholic teaching, of course you are going to be seen as an extremist in the eyes of man. I have lost count of the number of times members of my family (Novus Ordo) have called me an extremist, a terrorist, "holier than thou", arrogant, et cetera -- just for saying that the only true religion is the Catholic Religion, and that all other religions are false and paths to Hell. This "TradOut" that QuisutDeus talks of is only applicable to cases where the inquirer into Traditional Catholicism has no access to a solid spiritual director or a church where he can obtain valid Sacraments (in other words, someone who's spiritual adviser is his laptop -- something which I am guilty of, and ashamed of).

That forum is turning into another Catholic Answers, only worse. I truly feel sorry for any person new to Traditional Catholicism seeking guidance at the site.

Because we had a member here a long time ago that tried to use non-standard terms like "R oman protestant" which, in my experience, isn't used much.

What they MEAN is Novus Ordo Catholic, mainstream Catholic, or conciliar Catholic.

See? There are 3 good mainstream terms that can be used, to get the point across. When you go making up terms, in the hopes of being famous ("I came up with the term X"), you aren't making communication of ideas very easy -- and what other purpose does a forum (or post) have than the communication of ideas?

I heard the term somewhere else, and thought it was fitting. I asked the question "What exactly is Catholic about the Conciliar Religion" and a member replied that the Conciliar Religion is actually more like "Roman Prot - ism" than Roman Catholicism.
